About this listen

Ivy Sinclair knew the job offer was too good to be true. But she was desperate. She’d lost her father, her job, her apartment, and her best friend all in one fell swoop. She’d no choice but to hope this was a turning point. She thought things couldn’t get any worse. How wrong she had been.

Abducted and thrust into a world of violence, trapped alone with a captor who had been stalking her for years, Ivy must find a way to survive his darkness without losing herself completely as he forces her to become his, in body, mind, and soul. He has wanted her for years, planned each move to perfection, and now all that remained was for him to break her. He wanted an heir. He wanted to hear her screams. He wanted her.

This book contains graphic, non-consensual sex, abuse, and violence. If you don’t enjoy listening to a book containing these dark themes this book is not for you. Not suitable for under 18s.

Narration Quality = Poor

The story was good. it's a cliff hanger and the next book isn't on Audible so I'll be reading it on my kindle.

The narration was not good quality. It sounds like the narrator put a tape recorder in an empty room and read the book from a few feet away. She also mispronounced words, which is distracting. A narrator who reads romance novels should know not to pronounce "wanton" like a type of Asian food. The emphasis is on the first syllable, not the last. And why isn't someone listening to the books before they're released so they can catch these things. I almost couldn't listen to it all the way through.

OMG GRIPPING!!!

This isn't for the faint at heart!!! Ivy Sinclair has really been put thru it!!! Losing her father, job, and apartment and getting kidnapped!!!! Wont go into details but there will be a book two. Wish book two was on here so I could listen to it. The narrator gave a good performance however I still wish there was a male performer but its still good.

VERY DARK ROMANCE

Miles and Sin. Please heed the triggers. This is a very dark romance. Remember it is only for entertainment. It will be a trilogy. I enjoyed the audible and now am listening to the second book Mastering Sin where Miles will attempt to help Ivy heal. I am not enjoying the audio on this book as well as the first book it sounds like a virtual voice almost. If you like these types of books as entertainment only then you will thoroughly enjoy the story because it is a love story of two damaged people that love each other and their journey back to each other.

Poor narrator

Great story but the audio sounds hallow like it was recorded Inna bathroom at some points. But it was a good story. Super wild and intense

"Good book, terrible narrator"

The book was really good and kept me on the edge of my seat. The antagonist was seriously twisted and the book was really dark, but gripping.
The narrator was terrible. Had no emotion and forgot to breathe a lot so she'd just run out of air and leave words hanging. I probably would've been better off just reading it on my kindle app.

Her mindset and strength

I like how even with going through all she’s going through she still remembered what mattered most. And Miles has my heart>>💗
