What Era are we in?

This is the first book I have almost had to stop listening to. I unfortunately am cursed with the need to finish all the books I start no matter how bad they are, but this one was a struggle. Between the poor performance by Ms. Swan, the cheesey dialogue and the back and forth between "proper English" and modern dialogue I couldn't stop cringing and rolling my eyes. The story had great bones, but the filler was terrible. I kept wondering if we were in 17th century England or modern days. I will give one more book in this series a chance, seeing that it's narrated by a different person and truly the story lines are solid so I haven't given up on this author just yet.

Might have been better with different narrator

I struggled to finish this one. The story wasn't bad - I have read worse - but I did not like the narrator. I would like to listen to the remaining books in this series - but if performed by the same woman, I will probably pass.

The Tycoon's Revenge I loved this book the story was a bit unbelievable but a good story not full of sex scenes it actually has a story to it. An easy read.

A very tragic romantic story

Loved it, very sexy and interesting. Some review slammed it claiming they were stupid in believing someone. At the time these were teenagers in love with emotions high. My only draw back was that once they’d met again he didn’t try to clarify what really happened when the signs were there that she didn’t understand , but he’s a man and they can be clueless. Looking forward to more. Narration was good, not great.

Good story and good narration

I really enjoys this first book in the series. The narrator's voice was pleasing and she conveyed the remotion or the story well. As for the writing, the story was engaging and leaves you feeling invested in the outcomes for the whole clan. No big plot twists or ah-ha moments but it was worth the time.

Absolutely obsessed with this story!!!

This story had me smiling, laughing and falling in love again. I was very surprised that the story wasn't easy to predict unlike most romance stories and the end was absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
