I did not like the female narrator. Her voice was to high pitch. It was hard to listen too. I finished only because the story was good.

Good Story. Sucky Narration

I had an hour left and didn't bother finishing. Sunk costs got ahold of me on this one! The dude narrator sounds like he's reading a script from elementary school, and using his finger to keep track of the words he's on. It's so awkward to listen to his narrated sex scenes with the sentences and words all fragmented and choppy. No harm intended for the narrator, but there was no flow on his part. The word baby was said three thousand times and I finally got so sick of hearing it that I marked it as finished. I tried. :/

Kinda wished the ex had been mentioned getting his just desserts. No closure from that front the friend bit made me wince. I don’t know how common it is for bff to crap over each other success.

This is not my normal romance genre, tend to stick with fantasy or science fiction. Even so it kept me interested enough to finish the book. Absolutely loved the main male character. Is this dude a golden retriever? If so I will have to find more like him.

I liked the story. The narration was decent, but I wish the female narrator would have distinguished more between voices. It would have enhanced the experience. The male narrator does a good job. I thought the writing good, and the storyline was as well. The main conflict was a little lackluster for me, so I do wish there had been slightly more excitement in there - more than “we can’t tell anyone”.

That being said, there was a good twist near the end that I liked. I do wish there were more books by this author on Audible (yes, I read and liked the other one), because I would definitely read more!

First, let me start off my saying that I enjoyed this book. I did find Ava to be a little juvenile and Damien to be a little bit of a frat boy. Let me explain this, I know Damien is grown, a billionaire but his partying and the way he talked was a little young sounding. And Ava, she just had so many issues and reacted like a teenager it was hard to think of her as an adult at times. That being said, this was an entertaining and charming romance.

I loved the book. I’m becoming a fan of Lara. The narration was just ok. I wish Lara had added more to the epilogue. It would have been better if we went a few years forward to show that the heroine finally landed her dream job. This was her main insecurity it would have been more satisfying knowing that she conquered it. The Epilogue should have also extended to the supporting characters as well, and even knowing that the ex got what he deserved
