I loved the stories...but....didn't like the narrator...he read to fast...with not many emotions...sounded he was reading a newspaper article and not a sex story

Great stories...but

The narrator speaks with too much volume variance and has been mixed such that the whole performance sounds muffled. I had to equalize my system just to be able understand what he was saying. If you really want to listen to this book, equalize your speaker or headphone output to de-emphasize bass, and to emphasize mids and highs. Then, slow the audio to .75.

The stories don't describe how the characters look - only that they exist in a point in time and have a specific fetishist role. I find portions to be completely unbelievable as well. In the story where the father of the boy's girlfriend rapes him in a rainy car encounter, there is no description to help with the imagery at all: how big was the car? Are the father and boy both acrobats? Honestly, how big was the father's penis? It seems given the position described by the author, there was no way there could have been more than an inch inside the boy. The rain gave an ok excuse to pull the car over - but in an alley? Seems like they were boinking for long enough to be interrupted by any number of things. Why did the author make a point of saying the father and daughter had an unnaturally close relationship?? It sounded like there should have been another string to pull there if the father hadn't been queerer than a 3 dollar bill.

Given that there is not much in the way of gay erotic fiction, I was looking forward to this collection. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. It started out well enough, but after a while, the stories were pretty much the same, only the names were changed and the scenery. The author basically wrote the same stories over and over. Taken by themselves, without being in a collection, they could pass as an ok set of short stories, but when combined into a complete product, they present a redundant collection of one set of characters' experiences, only with different names.

In addition, the editing was nonexistent! The narrator did several retakes in most, if not all the stories (I haven't gotten to the end yet, not sure I will,) As someone who does a good amount of writing for a living, I felt the author did limited, if any, character development; the writing was rather stilted and mechanical, and again, after listening to one story, you pretty much heard them all. There's really so much of a older man dominates younger man, and questioning guy messes around with or is seduced by boyfriend/girlfriend's father that you can listen to without getting bored. I really had high hopes for this product; unfortunately, it didn't deliver.

Immensely disappointed.
