The Princess and the Plumber

Tundra has a problem. As a princess, she is under pressure from her parents, the king and queen of Parking-Lot, to wed. Unfortunately, she happens to be the largest and ugliest girl in the land. She meets Olaf, a huge oaf, who becomes her friend. Her father, out of desperation, enlists the help of his mediocre magician to come up with a solution.

Princess Tundra, having recovered from a near fatal beauty remedy, soon discovers there are worse things than being ugly. She becomes the target of an evil vixen determine to do her in. Her father, King Public Parking, turns to a cast of colorful characters in his kingdom to help him uncover who is trying to kill his daughter. Madge, Vinnie, and Houston join in to solve the mystery of the ominous visions that threaten Tundra.

Marvin the Magnificent, formerly employed by King Parking as his Black (mediocre) Magician, messed up royally when his potion meant to turn Tundra from beast to beauty cast her into a near fatal sleep. After he was banished, the only employment he could get as an unlicensed magician was mixing drinks at the Black Cauldron, a tavern in the Magic Kingdom. After a bit of effort, Marvin announced to his girlfriend he’d come up with something he called Identity Theft. He took on the appearance of the king, and started walking around helping himself to everything…including the queen.

Tundra, now the Queen of the Kingdom of Bargains, while visiting her parents the monarchs of Parking-Lot, received word that her husband King Fantastic was ill and was not expected to survive. She would have to return ready to ascend to the throne if he should succumb.

Jayne grew up in the shadow of her two older brothers, William and Richard. The brothers were stronger and better at everything, especially their mastery of various weapons. She tried to compete by acting and dressing like them. She distained anything feminine, believing it to be a sign of weakness. Prudence, a friend of the family, had arranged for Jayne to apply for a position as a handmaid for the princess.

Once upon a time, in an enchanted land far, far, away, there were a number of kingdoms. Parking-Lot was one of them, along with the Ogre Kingdom. In a small hamlet known as Millers Bend, it had been previously taken over by a band of bandits. Olaf the Oaf, when visiting, took pity on the townsfolk, and with their help disguised himself as an ogre and scared the bandits out of town. After a few years later he learned the gang was about to return. He reasoned that what this town needed was a permanent solution, so he set out to recruit genuine ogres to help him.
