• Bravery is a Skill: Listening to your own voice.
    Oct 12 2023

On this episode of What I Wish My Mother Taught Me, I chat with Nicole Trick-Steinbach about the process of building bravery is built upon three pillars: acknowledging and embracing one's emotions, creating an action plan, and taking accountability for one's own actions and dreams.

    • The first pillar emphasizes the importance of truly connecting with and processing one's emotions, as this is often overlooked in today's society. Feeling one's feelings is a necessary step in building bravery.
    • The second pillar involves creating an action plan, setting goals, and taking consistent action towards those goals. It requires stepping out of one's comfort zone and embracing risks and challenges. Building momentum and moving forward, even in the face of setbacks, is key.
    • The third pillar centers around taking responsibility for one's choices and actions, as well as taking ownership of one's dreams and aspirations. It is about recognizing the power to shape one's own life and make things happen. Accountability is not about controlling others, but rather about self-governance and personal growth.

Overall, building bravery encompasses emotional awareness, proactive planning, and personal responsibility. It is a skill that can be applied to various aspects of life, such as careers, relationships, and personal growth. By embracing these three pillars, individuals can cultivate the courage and resilience needed to overcome challenges and pursue their dreams.

    Aug 8 2023

On this episode of What I Wish My Mother Taught Me, I chat with Jana Wilson author of Wise Little One: Learning to Love and Listen to My Inner Child . As an emotional healing educator, meditation teacher, retreat leader, public speaker, hypnotherapist, and the founder of the Emotional Healing System, Jana Wilson has helped thousands heal from the pain of their past.

A victim of childhood abuse and trauma, Jana Wilson could have wound up another statistic. Yet, at the age of twelve, she had a mystical experience that catapulted her on a life-long journey of learning to listen and love herself. In her breakout prescriptive memoir Wise Little One, we follow Jana as she develops a connection to her inner child.

A riveting tale of triumph over tragedy, Wise Little One is interlaced with the knowledge Jana learned on her path of discovery – eventually training and working with prominent thought leaders Dr Deepak Chopra, Dr Brian Weiss and Debbie Ford. Ultimately, she honors and listens to her Wise Little One and, at long last, is guided to her beloved in the most auspicious way. In the end, readers discover that we are all here in Earth school to learn how to heal from our pasts, extract lessons from our traumas, and to value and fall in love with ourselves.
