Welcome to International Women's Week at Haymarket

  • Summary

  • The theme for this year’s International Women's Day is inspire inclusion. There shouldn’t be just one day a year to shine a spotlight on the power of inclusion in driving positive change for women everywhere, but International Women's Day serves as a really important moment to reflect, educate and learn about the ongoing journey towards gender equality and inclusivity. Because unfortunately, we really still aren’t there yet.

At Haymarket, we have just celebrated the one year anniversary of our revamped global sustainability agenda - Impact, which is centred closely around the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

In just a year we’ve managed to achieve some pretty big milestones, including a global content audit of our 70+ brands, to measure how our external voice is aligned with our Impact agenda.

One of the SDGs Impact aligns closely with is Gender Equality - and our content audit has captured various pieces of work relating to this.

Whether it’s written articles, campaigns, events, awards or educational resources, they cover everything from celebrating women, recognising female talent, breaking down stereotypes, calling out inequalities and much more.

So we thought, why not dive into some of the stories behind the headlines?

In this episode, part one of three, we hear from Alison Weissbrot, Editor-in-Chief of Campaign US, Gideon Spanier, Editor-in-Chief of Campaign UK, Sophie-Marie Odum, Editor of Motability's Lifestyle magazine, Matt Lizzimore, Editor for Wonderly and Kate Magee, Editor of Management Today, who all delve into their different - yet equally inspiring and interesting - gender equality related content.

    We hope you enjoy it!
