  • Stop Fexting: How Text Fights Are Ruining Your Relationship
    Nov 27 2024

Have an episode suggestion? Text us!

In this episode of Till the Wheels Fall Off, Matt and Paige dive headfirst into the digital dumpster fire of text fighting—aka "fexting." They tackle why arguing via text rarely accomplishes anything productive, how it’s become the modern default for conflict, and why it’s often a sign of deeper communication issues.

They explore why text fights are emotionally exhausting, miscommunication-prone, and give manipulators an easy playground. Plus, they ask the big questions: Is texting making relationships worse? Are you addicted to the back-and-forth drama? And why do we think texting someone into submission will actually work?

Matt and Paige also share tips to break free from the cycle, challenge listeners to stop fexting for 24 hours, and drop some truth bombs on why face-to-face conversations build real intimacy. With humor, personal anecdotes, and a few controversial hot takes, this episode will have you rethinking your text habits—and maybe even putting down your phone.

Also on the docket: Thanksgiving food debates, ambrosia salad, and why mashed potatoes don’t belong at the holiday table.

Don’t miss this one—it’s time to text less and talk more.

I feel so understood.

My husband and I have been on a roller coaster for 2 years and addiction relapse has been the icing on the cake. I have friends to talk to, but nobody understands this life if you aren’t living in it. I have gained so much comfort, confidence, clarity, and guidance from these podcasts. I was sitting in quicksand and had no plan of how to get out until I found TWFO. I can’t thank Matt and Paige enough.

Relatable

I’ve only listened to a few episodes so far and I started from the beginning. I couldn’t have found y’all at a better time in my life and I’m so grateful. I’m learning so much so far. I can’t wait to hear more and get myself back on track.
