  • 007: Smile Spa At Sea Mission Boat
    Oct 18 2023

Imagine looking at a sea of faces that have never seen a dentist, lives lived with persistent pain and discomfort due to the inaccessibility of dental care. That was the vision that stirred me - a group of remote indigenous people on islands in the US Virgin Islands and the Bahamas, isolated, unable to access the healthcare they so desperately needed. Their circumstances moved me to embark on a mission – to bring dental care to these communities on a boat!

Join me as I recount the thrilling journey of transforming this extraordinary vision into reality. A journey that began with a sermon from our pastor at Bethany about Caribbean missions, which led me to invest in a mobile dental conference, the stepping stone towards our unique mobile clinic on a boat. With faith as our anchor, we sailed through the hurdles, relying on determination and unyielding resolve to make the impossible possible. This episode serves as a testament to the power of dreams, faith, and the will to make a difference.

In this episode, you will hear:

    • The inspiration behind the mission.
    • The process of turning the vision into reality, including the challenges faced along the way.
    • The investment in a mobile dental conference.
    • The reaction and support from my mastermind group after sharing her mission dream.
    • The purchase of the 51 Leopard Powercat, the boat that would be transformed into the mobile dental clinic.
    • The adversities faced leading up to the sea trial.
