    Jul 26 2024
In the latest episode of having a teenager with us at the Indie Football Podcast, Alessandro is a 17 year old living in Rome, Italy. He began his content creation journey in football at the beginning of his teenage years. It was around the time when the world was locked down owing to the pandemic. At the beginning, you will also hear Anukarsh’s story of how he had excelled as a goalkeeper during his school days. That was absolutely Alisson Becker stuff. We need to go back to June of last year since we had discussed about Serie A in detail with a fellow podcast guest and this time around, we ask Alessandro about AS Roma, Francesco Totti, Jose Mourinho’s time at the club and much more. This episode is special also because we are representing Shop Football with their merchandise as the brand was kind enough to share some of their very cool stuff with us. Highly recommended if you are a fanatic when it comes to possessing a football collection like Alessandro. Italy in the Euros, the great story of Roberto Baggio and Alessandro’s deal with Umbro are also some of the segments which would make for interesting viewing for all our football lovers!

  • Ep 83: Grace Merritt “Graced” Us with her presence- Meet the 20 year old doing wonders in journalism
    Jun 30 2024
One of the biggest aspects of doing this podcast online for the past 30 months has been the ability to connect with unique people from across the international football fraternity. Whether it’s the official broadcasters of the FIFA World Cup (Semra Hunter), former CEOs of Premier League clubs (Peter Moore) or in this case - a young journalist who has been a former left winger in her playing days and is now working with the Steven Gerrard academy and encouraging growth of female participation in football. Having been to Inter Miami, Grace has also visited the campus of Global Institute of Sport, which is right next to where the Wembley Stadium is situated. This had obviously prompted our Co-founder, Dwaipayan Mukherjee, to begin boasting about his time in the same college during his international study trip in the second half of last year. We also discussed the approach of Grace Merritt while going to cover a game or any peripheral event related to the game because as a journalist, people have been developing their own ways to get things done. At the end of it all, you’ll be really surprised to learn that Grace Merritt will turn 21 in just a few weeks’ time.
