The EstoBro TV Podcast

By: 99th Avenue Productions
  • Summary

  • When two friends met in college, they discussed their favorite subjects over drinks on a college campus in Florida. It only took them an entire decade later to record said conversations and turn them into a podcast. The show features Matty EstoBro and Theo "TV" Vlass discussing subjects on current events, nerd culture, music, sports, and many other parodies that have been enhanced even further by the internet. Their little passion project has been supported by friends, family, and all faces of life who have helped shape this program into what it is today. New episodes are featured weekly, and you can follow along with the show on any popular social media platform.

EstoBro points out the major hype surrounding the musical Wicked finally making it to the silver screen (20:30). The Wizard of Oz is one of the most crucial franchises of all time, and the Gents are holding great expectations for this movie to excel at the box office. TV is more than excited for Gladiator 2 to be released this autumn as well (30:50) and even claims that it could even win an Oscar for Best Picture. This feat has not been accomplished for a movie franchise since The Godfather. A new trailer was released for the next MCU feature, Captain America: Brave New World (39:50) and the Gents analyze how the comic book movie universe has slowly been healing in recent news. As EstoBro announces the terrible reviews of Red One that feature Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, the Gents can't hesitate to talk about the current events of professional wrestling (50:20). As PPV events tend to build more momentum, the storylines are heading in the direction that leads into next year's WrestleMania. The show concluded with an educational song from EstoBro and TV's childhood time.

The Gents opened the show with an informative announcement regarding the decision of voters of the United States (2:00). With an essential U.S. Presidential election coming up, EstoBro and TV want to ensure voters are doing effective research before heading to the polls on Election Day. With the episode releasing on Halloween, the Gents chose to celebrate the show in a nerdy fashion. Beginning with addressing the results of Venom: The Last Dance in theaters recently (17:00), this segment highlights the 'Good, Bad, and Ugly' of the aftermath of the latest comic book film. EstoBro also highlights the best video games to play for this Spooky SZN of 2024 (33:45). With a great deal of indie releases plus some remasters of classic horror hits, there is still time to get some scares for the holiday season. When TV mentions zombies from video games, it puts EstoBro in the feels of playing his zombie-themed Gecko Moria deck in the One Piece trading game (45:15), as the host shares a small history of zombie-themed decks influenced by popular trading card games. The show concludes with spotlighting some of the best costumes to wear for this Halloween (52:00), which included family-friendly outfits to raunchier outfits that adults would rather wear. A wonderful episode to enjoy this Halloween, and please remember to vote in this upcoming election!
