In this episode, I’m diving into a truth we rarely hear: self-love is actually the highest form of discipline. So much of what we’re told about discipline is centered around forcing ourselves through workouts or diets, but real discipline is about choosing to love ourselves even in a world constantly telling us we’re not enough.

I’m sharing why dragging yourself through routines you hate isn’t discipline, and how building an environment that supports your success is key. I challenge you to do the hardest thing of all—love yourself first. Because when your actions come from self-love instead of self-loathing, everything from your fitness goals to your personal development takes on new meaning and momentum.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this. Email me at daryl@yourlevelfitness.com and let’s talk about what living an inside/out life means for you.

In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I’m getting real about the tension between automation and authentic communication. I talk about how I absolutely use tools like AI and if-this-then-that workflows to save time and create content, but the key is what we do with the time these tools free up. For me, it’s all about meaningful, two-way conversations rather than just pumping out more and more content.

I share how I’ve been refining the Your Level Fitness programs in the background, testing new ways to connect and help people without getting swept up in the noise of social media trends. I open up about how marketing often preys on our insecurities, why authenticity can feel risky but necessary, and how we all have a story to tell that’s worth sharing without watering ourselves down.

I dive into how we navigate the balance between protecting our personal lives while still showing up online as our true selves, and why leaning into what makes you uniquely you is the best way to cut through the noise.

Let me know your thoughts on how you’re handling all of this in your own life. Email me any time at daryl@yourlevelfitness.com

In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I’m diving into the story behind my daily coffee cup posts and the handwritten messages I share across social media. I open up about how my cerebral palsy made me self-conscious about my handwriting for years, and how sharing those handwritten notes has become both a personal challenge and a creative pursuit.

We talk about the buzz around authenticity online, and why I believe true connection comes from putting real parts of ourselves out there, even the imperfect ones. I also share how practicing my handwriting for these posts has become a way to face an old insecurity and turn it into something positive for myself and for others who read the messages.

If you’ve ever felt hesitant to share your creative work because of insecurity or fear of judgment, this episode is for you. Let’s keep putting out optimism, realness, and hope into the world… even if it’s scribbled on a coffee cup before the first sip of the day!

In this episode of The Daryl Perry Podcast, I’m diving into how observation without judgment can transform how we approach life, fitness, and daily routines. I share why I believe belief in ourselves is a choice we make first, instead of waiting for action to prove our worth. I talk about how experimenting with small things like my breakfast habits, from baking flaxseed muffins to making dense bakery-style cookies at home, helped me stay in tune with my preferences while avoiding overpriced store options.

I open up about my journey with cerebral palsy and how I’m testing new routines like DDPY yoga and physical therapy to improve my mobility, especially around dinner time. Despite gym closures and summer heat, I’ve managed to complete nearly forty workouts this month and continue looking for ways to stay active while balancing time with Heather.

It’s all about observing, testing, and adjusting without beating ourselves up. I hope this episode helps you reflect on how you’re piecing together your own life puzzle and navigating choices for yourself rather than living by others’ expectations. Let me know how you’re figuring things out!

In this replay from Zach’s YouTube channel I sit down with my long-time friend Zachary Fenell to tackle a topic that every adult with cerebral palsy understands all too well, the art of falling. Zach asks the gritty questions and I pull back the curtain on what it is really like to hit the ground three to five times a month and still chase a fitness-first life. We talk about daily balance drills, why fatigue makes escalators feel like trap doors, and how taking a twenty second sit break can save an entire day of mobility. You will hear honest stories of tumbles that ended in laughter, hard lessons learned from near injuries, and the mindset shifts that turn embarrassment into self-assessment. We also share straight talk for family and friends who want to help yet never know when to jump in. If you live with CP, or love someone who does, this chat will give you practical tips, fresh perspective, and a reminder that the score is always you versus CP… and you can still win.

    Episode Description:

In this solo episode, I’m sharing where my head is right now around content, communication, and how we’re all just tired of surface-level conversations. We’ve lived in a world that tells us to find our niche and stick to it, but we’re not one-dimensional people. We’re layered, and we’re ready to talk about real things in real ways. From fitness and business to mental health and relationships, I’m digging into why the inside/out approach is the only way to build a life that actually feels good.

You’ll hear why I think chasing trends and fitting into boxes is a dead-end, how I learned to build my brand from scratch instead of being just another affiliate, and why connecting with yourself changes everything. We also talk about men’s mental health, the importance of daily check-ins, and why consistent communication could be the simplest solution to some of the biggest problems.

This episode is about honesty, complexity, and taking ownership. It’s about giving yourself permission to show up as a full person with multiple interests, emotions, and experiences. If you’ve ever felt like your life or your content had to fit into one neat category to be accepted, I hope this episode helps you realize you don’t have to live like that. You can share your layers, love your life from the inside out, and make a difference by being exactly who you are.

In this episode, I’m getting real about what it means to not quit on yourself, especially when your body isn’t moving the way it used to. I’ve been working through fascia tears, tight hips, and a lot of stiffness, but I’m committed to my health for the long run. I talk about the physical therapy I’m returning to, how I’m adapting my workouts for longevity, and the way I’ve shifted my eating habits over the past year to match my life and goals.

I also open up about the deeper message behind Your Level Fitness and what the YLF community really stands for. This isn’t about chasing a number or reshaping your body to finally feel good about yourself. This is about meeting yourself where you are, appreciating who you are now, and building from the inside out.

We cover mobility, mental health, men’s emotional awareness, the role of AI in content creation, and the shift toward making content that fits your life instead of just chasing algorithms. You’ll also hear how I’m doubling down on content and recommitting to being exactly where I need to be. Because I’m not giving up. Ever.
