• Idea #3 to Increase the Productivity of Your Business
    Sep 19 2024

Today, we are talking about Tip #3 to increase the productivity of your business which is to: Delegate appropriately.

If you cannot delegate, you cannot increase productivity. Period. The key to increasing productivity is realizing where your time is best spent. Where your assistant’s or team’s time is spent matters as well. When you can delegate the right tasks to the right person, your business will operate without a hitch. However, hang on to tasks you should have let go of long ago, and you stagnate your success. When you need a task completed, look to the personality and experience of your team in order to decide which employee would be best suited for the task.

There may be times when there is no one on your team who has the experience needed to complete a task productively and effectively. In that case, consider hiring a freelancer. If you need website copy or a sales letter, contact a professional freelance copywriter. If you need a website, logo design or branding for your company, hire a freelance graphic designer. Hiring freelancers is often one of the most efficient methods of delegation. Experienced freelancers won’t need handholding; they’ll have the knowledge and industry experience to get the task accomplished without pestering you. You also have the benefit of not having to pay taxes and benefits that you would have to pay to a “regular” employee.

  • Idea #2 to Increase the Productivity of Your Business
    Sep 18 2024

Today, we are talking about Tip #2 to increase the productivity of your business which is to: Work each day with a To-Do List.

I prefer to call this list a Prioritized Action List because everything should be in priority order all the time. Since most people call this list a TO DO List, we will use this label.

Creating a to-do list is one of the most efficient ways to increase the productivity of your business. Crafting a detailed to-do list for you and your team will help them comprehend exactly what is expected of them each day. This will motivate them to complete the tasks they’ve been given with the greatest efficiency and effectiveness. If your assistant or team is known for procrastinating, this is an especially effective tool for encouraging them to stay focused. When you don’t leave wiggle room for lollygagging, you’ll have one heck of a productive team.

Customize each To-Do List to each team member, so that each team member can be held directly accountable for their actions. Encourage a team atmosphere, but convey there are consequences individually as well as collaboratively for tasks left incomplete. You may use their individual performance to establish performance merits, to encourage efficient team productivity. Say for instance, you establish a goal that if the team can drive X number of dollars in revenue within 30 days, you will treat them to a nice dinner, gift certificate to an online store, or shopping spree worth $100 at their favorite store.

  • 4 Ideas to Increase the Productivity of Your Business
    Sep 17 2024

Every business owner is on the lookout for effective ways to increase productivity for their team. The reality is that business owners and employees are ineffective and unproductive probably more often than they think. The key is to reduce lost hours and wasted manpower. We are going to explore 4 ways you can take an active approach to increasing the efficiency and productivity of your business.

Productivity Tip #1: Lead by example. If you are a business owner, you must absolutely be held to the highest standard. If you work directly with an assistant or team of employees, you should always lead by example.

Show them how you’d like them to manage their productivity by being a master of productivity yourself; it’s unfair to have unrealistic expectations of your team when you don’t uphold yourself to the same standards. As a business owner, it’s important to reserve your “play” time to designated times of play and/or out of sight of your team. When you put an end to income-blocking procrastination and time-wasting, you’ll soon see your team following the admirable example set by you.

If you’re a habitual procrastinator or have trouble focusing on productivity, you would serve yourself and your business well by hiring an accountability coach. An accountability coach will show you several effective ways to increase productivity in your business - and hold you accountable for your actions, as well as your results. When you are asked to explain to your accountability coach why you didn’t achieve the task at hand because you chose to watch T.V, it won’t feel comfortable to be put on the hot seat by your coach.

Over the next 3 days we will be exploring 3 more ways to increase the productivity of your business, so tune in tomorrow.

  • Step #4 to Create High Self-esteem that Gives You an Edge
    Sep 16 2024

Today we are talking about Step #4 of 4 to Create Successful Results with High Self-esteem, which is to Learn to Trust Yourself,

Low self-esteem leaves too much room for doubt and fear. A successful outcome is rarely possible when action is taken from fear. In order to create successful results, you must have the self-esteem to believe you can do what you need to do in any situation. In addition, low self-esteem creates fear and will stop you from taking future actions that you might be very capable of completing successfully; yet too afraid to try. Success is only possible with high self-esteem and applying it to every situation you face.

With each successful accomplishment, the trust you have in your abilities will grow and increase your future success rates. Having high self-esteem will also bring perspective to temporary setbacks or minor failures. They will not deter you because one failure or temporary setback does not mean you are a failure. High self-esteem leaves little room for fear, making it easier for you to remain confident in every situation.

When you apply your high self-esteem to your business, you have the competitive edge. Potential clients or employers only ever have three questions for any prospect:

    • Do you have the talent, knowledge, expertise, and confidence to get the job done?
    • Can they trust you to deliver what you've promised and when you promised it?
    • Will your talents and ability solve problems and make their life easier, while increasing their profits?

With high self-esteem, you'll know you're the right person for the job because you will have a keen understanding of your talents and the value you bring to the situation. Complement that with the confidence in your ability to deliver what the situation calls for and you have the winning combination. That winning combination will give you the confidence to present yourself effectively to the client and obtain business or get the job. When you can convey your high self-esteem to people, they will want to do business with you and look forward to it – plain and simple. You Rule!

  • Step #3 to Create High Self-esteem that Gives You an Edge
    Sep 15 2024

Today we are talking about the 3rd Step to Create Successful Results with High Self-esteem, which is to make a list of all your accomplishments.

This means everything, even if you take an accomplishment for granted and don't think it's much to be proud of. Make a list of 50 goals you have accomplished, even those from your childhood.

    Here are a few examples:

    • Learned to ride a bike
    • Went hang gliding or bungee jumping, (This is on my list even though I was and am afraid of heights)
    • Was a pace setter for a charity by raising a lot of money
    • Started my own business
    • Started a neighborhood card club or book club
    • Started a neighborhood watch program
    • Received an award for _________
    • Graduated from high school
    • Graduated from college
    • Got a PhD
    • Got my dream job
    • Competed in a marathon, triathlon, walkathon, etc.
    • Lost weight and got down to my ideal weight
    • Bought the car I've always wanted
    • Bought my 1st home
    • Bought a boat
    • Bought some great skis
    • Wake up early every Saturday morning to work out
    • Closed that big deal last week!
    • Started a podcast and have lots of great listeners!

Look at how much you've accomplished! Think about all the hard work it took to accomplish those goals and that you had what it took to do it. Even if there are 4 things on your list, you can still be proud of yourself. Each goal called upon your talents and you successfully applied them to accomplish them - and that‘s something to be proud of. Everything completed is an accomplishment, even if you only walk away with knowledge and experience.

  • Step #2 to Create High Self-esteem that Gives You an Edge
    Sep 14 2024

Today we are talking about the 2nd Step to Create Successful Results with High Self-esteem, which is to Identify Your Talents.

Write down a list of talents you believe you hold. These could be natural or learned talents. Natural talents are those that come naturally without formal training, like being good with numbers, sports, sales, or making people laugh (comedian). Learned talents are those that you learned with guidance, training or education; like being an architect, professional athlete, or professor, doctor or a nurse.

Feel free to ask your friends, family, and even co-workers for their feedback.

It will be interesting to see what talents your family says you have, as compared to your co-workers. Chances are you will receive two slightly different sets of feedback, as each environment calls upon different skills. Your family may see a side of you that your coworkers do not and vice versa. This is very typical, as we often where two hats in life - one in our personal life and the other in our professional life.

  • Step #1 to Create High Self-esteem that Gives You an Edge
    Sep 13 2024

Today we are talking about Step #1 to Create Successful Results with High Self-esteem, which is to Identify Your Strengths.

Write down a list of characteristics you feel you bring to the table in your personal and professional life.

Examples of Personal characteristics might be: loyal, patient, good mother/father, organizer, reliable.

Examples of Professional characteristics might include: hard worker, team player, good leader, good people person (with management and employees).

For added input, I strongly recommend you ask your friends, family members, co-workers and significant others what strengths they see in you. Compare that input to the list you wrote and see if you identify with some of the characteristics that other people say they see in you. If you feel the characteristic suits you, adjust your list accordingly. A great resource for helping you to identify your strengths is a book entitled, Discover Your Strengths. It comes complete with an exercise that provides you with Strength Finder results.

    Sep 12 2024

4 Steps to Creating High Self-esteem that Gives You an Edge

Having high self-esteem will give you the edge you need to apply confidence to every situation that demands it. Self-esteem is the combination of trust and belief in your talents and the ability to successfully complete the task at hand. When you can acknowledge the value in your talents, you can acknowledge the value in yourself and that builds your self-esteem.

On a personal level, having high self-esteem allows you to feel good about the person you are and allows you to grow into the person you want to become. You feel good about your talents and can look at yourself in the mirror with admiration. On a professional level, high self-esteem affords the same benefits; only this time you are showing your value to your clients, prospective clients, to your boss if you have one, and your peers and even your staff and team members.

The bottom line is that high self-esteem contributes to successful action because when action is supported by confidence, you encourage the likelihood for positive results. Approach any situation with low self-esteem and you could be setting yourself up for failure.

Through a series of four steps, you will discover how to grasp an understanding of your strengths and talents and how they contribute value to all situations. You will understand how to build trust in your ability to deliver future successful results. Over the next 4 days we will be exploring these 4 Steps to Creating Successful Results with High Self-esteem.
