Being in exile, migrating, seeking asylum and becoming a refugee is a neverending life journey that leads those affected to experience all the emotions on the human spectrum. But amid the difficulties faced by displaced people, hidden voices rise to create change and welcome diversity, championing what refugees have to offer. Human rights advocate Khairunissa Dhala is just one of these hidden voices. In this episode, Houda Fansa Jawadi meets Khairunissa Dhala and her partner Eddie Thomas to learn their story, shining a light on just two of the people helping to raise the voices of asylum seekers in the UK.
