In another roster move, the Giants made a significant change by cutting FB Jakob Johnson. Johnson has been a physical presence for the Giants in the running game, and his departure opens up questions about how the team will adjust in that area. At the same time, LB Ty Summers has been promoted to the active roster after running out of practice squad elevations. Summers has been a key contributor on special teams for the Giants.

The injury report heading into the Cowboys game provides a clearer picture of what the Giants will be working with on Thursday. CBs Dru Phillips and Adoree Jackson have both been ruled out with calf injuries, which leaves the Giants' secondary thin.
