And when you strap those weapons together, you have dynamite.” Bestselling author, speaker, and founder of True Girl, Dannah Gresh, talks about the importance of prayer, God’s Word and community in the midst of marital difficulties. SCRIPTURES

But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. Ephesians 5:3 NIV

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. Psalm 119:105 NKJV

“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:19-20 NKJV

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, having belted your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having strapped on your feet the preparation of the gospel of peace; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. With every prayer and request, pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be alert with all perseverance and every request for all the saints. Ephesians 6:10-18 NASB

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NLT

Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. James 5:16 NIV

Yes, you came when I called; you told me, “Do not fear.” Lord, you have come to my defense; you have redeemed my life. Lamentations 3:57-58 NLT

    ABOUT OUR GUEST

Life-Giving! That’s what Moms in Prayer (MIP) has been to Marcy over the years. She has been praying in a MIP group since her children were 3, 6, and 8. She and her group prayed through every age, stage and situation, and now her kids are married with children of their own. Moms in Prayer was her best parenting tool because it brought her peace, taught her how to pray, and changed her responses by growing her love for the Lord and His word.

    SCRIPTURES

    When I am afraid,

I put my trust in you.

In God, whose word I praise,

in God I trust; I shall not be afraid.

What can flesh do to me? Psalm 56:3-4 ESV

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. John 10:10 ESV

  • How to Persevere in Prayer
    Jan 6 2025

“I am a recipient of His personal persistence. He has continued to walk with me when I, too, have grumbled against Him in the wilderness.” Today Aubrie shares encouragement from a Moms in Prayer mom who was challenged by the Lord to be persistent in her prayer life. She reminds us how God persistently pursues us and how we can follow His example as we stay close to Him. Jesus ever lives to intercede for us and the Holy Spirit helps us pray in our weakness. What a gift!

    SCRIPTURES

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. Luke 18:1 NIV

but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. Hebrews 7:24-25 NIV

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:30-31 NIV

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. Romans 8:26 ESV

  • Rejoicing Before the Outcome
    Dec 23 2024

“God WILL fulfill what He has promised.” Today Aubrie reads from Luke 1 to share the story leading up to Jesus’ birth. Both Zechariah and Mary received messages from the Lord through an angel, but they responded differently. Even though Mary hadn’t seen everything unfold yet or know the outcome, her response was to praise and rejoice. May we be like Mary, having confidence in Who our God is, so we, too, can rejoice before the outcome.

    SCRIPTURES

And Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her. Luke 1:38 ESV

For nothing will be impossible with God. Luke 1:37 ESV

And he came to her and said, “Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!” Luke 1:28 ESV

But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to discern what sort of greeting this might be. Luke 1:29 ESV

And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.” Luke 1:45 ESV

  • The Joy & Love of God | Sally Burke & Fern Nichols
    Dec 9 2024
“This truth brings God’s supernatural love right into the natural realm where we live, right into the pages of our lives.” Join us as we finish out our mini Advent series hearing from our President Sally Burke and Founder Fern Nichols. They help us meditate on the joy experienced during the first Christmas and how we can experience joy and the boundless love of God today. The Moms in Prayer Podcast is a part of the Christian Parenting Podcast Network. To find practical and spiritual advice to help you grow into the parent you want to be visit ChristianParenting.orgABOUT OUR GUESTSSally Burke’s introduction to the ministry in 1990 was life changing. Compelled by joy and the hope God gave as she prayed with others for her children and their schools, Sally began to reach out and share with other moms—first as a Moms in Prayer group leader, then area coordinator for her hometown of Temecula, California, and later as regional coordinator for Riverside County. In 2008, Sally became the Director of Field Ministry at Moms in Prayer headquarters, overseeing ministry expansion worldwide. Today, in her role as President of Moms in Prayer International, her vision remains unchanged, that more children and schools and moms might experience God’s life-changing answers to prayer. Sally is also an international speaker, teacher and author of Raise Them Up, Start with Praise, Unshaken and the Unshaken Study Guide. As a child growing up in Florida, Sally was fascinated with the space program and began her career as a space shuttle engineer with a Master of Science in Management. After her marriage and the birth of two children, Sally and her husband came to faith in Christ, and Moms in Prayer soon became a top priority. She and husband, Ed, now have four grown children, two sons-in-law, two daughters-in-law and five grandchildren. In her leisure time, you’ll find Sally on a walk/run, curled up with a good book or enjoying the company of friends.Fern Nichols is a former elementary school teacher and the founder of Moms in Prayer International, a prayer movement that mobilizes women around the world to gather together to pray for their children and schools. In 1984, Fern was fearful about sending her two eldest children off to junior high. She knew the school would be a battlefield for their hearts and minds. She realized the warfare would be intense and to fight in this battle she needed to invite other moms to pray. She called a mom and asked her to pray with her for their children and school. Her response was an immediate “yes,” and that was the humble beginning of Moms in Prayer that now spans the USA in every state and is in more than 150 countries. Fern has traveled to almost every continent in the world speaking, teaching and training women how to pray effectively. She and her husband Rle have been married for over 50 years. They were involved with Campus Crusade for Christ (now CRU) for 15 years. They have four children and 10 grandchildren.SCRIPTURESSally’s reading is taken from Luke 2:8-20then that person can pray to God and find favor with him, they will see God’s face and shout for joy; he will restore them to full well-being. Job 33:26 NIVFor God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 NIVTherefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14 NIVFor it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 NIVHe who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 NIVto shine on those living in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the path of peace.” Luke 1:79 NIVPeace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27 NIVWhile they were still talking about this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, ‘Peace be with you.’ Luke 24:36 NIVBut the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23 NIVThe mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. Romans 8:6 NIVYou will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7 NIVDo you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:28-31 NIVBut this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. Lamentations 3:21-23 ESVAnd Mary said: “My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant.
