In this episode, we discuss the importance of exercise in the oncology setting. We discuss the role of exercise in cancer prevention and in different disease stages: pre- and post-surgery, systemic treatment, survivorship, and advanced disease. We detail the benefits of different types of exercise and the risks associated with sedentary behavior. We also discuss specific benefits of exercise for tackling side effects such as fatigue, depression/anxiety, and loss of muscle mass.
