    Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Psalm 87:5

    Yes, of Zion it will be said, 'This one and that one was born in her;' the Most High himself will establish her.”

    DEVOTION
    Based on Psalm 87
    Tonight's psalm paints a beautiful picture of God's return from heaven to earth when He will rule from His city on a hill- Jerusalem. Believers from every tribe and nation will bow down and worship Him. As we picture this, we are reminded of our bright eternal future with God.

    While God hasn’t returned to earth in power and glory yet, we can all rest, no matter where we are or what goes on around us-we are secure in Him.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
    ADORATION: Close your eyes and imagine a brilliant city filled with the glory of God sitting upon a hill, shining its light into the darkness, giving life from its springs to its inhabitants. Hear its inhabitants sing, with one voice, the most beautiful song of praise to God, accompanied by stringed instruments played by musicians strumming a tune as old as time. This is the promise of God’s kingdom here on earth. Find rest in God's presence; dwell in His city's safety; worship Him for the joy that is ours through Him.

    CONFESSION: Bring your struggles to the Lord, confessing any sin that is hindering your relationship with Him. Ask Him to draw you near to Him with His forgiveness and to help you resist everything that distracts you in your relationship with Him.

    THANKSGIVING: Praise the name of the Lord, rejoicing in His promises. Thank Him for the times when He has shown you His mercy and grace. Thank Him for His faithfulness in your life and for the hope of an eternity spent with Him.

    SUPPLICATION: Father, knowing You are Lord over all the nations, all the tribes, all the peoples, and over my life is a gift and a source of peace. I put my trust in You and believe in Your plans for my future. Help me to remember Your Majesty when facing difficult times. Help me to rest securely in You tonight and into a new day. May Your grace sustain me, and Your mercy bless me in restoring my soul. All praise and glory to You. Amen.

    PRAYER

    Dear Lord Jesus, You are the hero of history and the savior of the world. The Kingdom of Heaven is established through You. Through Your sacrifice, I have been born again into love and Purpose. Tonight, I seek not simply sleep but restoration for the path ahead. I want to be filled by Your Spirit and empowered on every excellent deed You have set out before me. You declare in Your word that there are predestined and pre-ordained works for me to walk in. Tonight, as I lay my head down and dream about tomorrow, give me visions of those great things You will do. Give me a beautiful insight into Your plans and purposes so that I may arise tomorrow with fire in my belly and strength in my bones! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    DEVOTION
    Based on Psalm 86
    Tonight's psalm reminds us that God is, and always will be, our greatest help when we face trials or tribulations. Trials can be confusing and leave us wondering what, when, and how to move forward. He has the solutions, He knows the perfect path to take, and He is faithful to complete what He’s started in our lives.

    The key to our peace through it all is to remain focused on Him and draw from His strength and direction. Take a moment to still your mind and offer your struggles up to Him. Allow this unburdening of your heart to usher in the peace and rest you so long for tonight. He wants to bless you with His help. He is ready to provide all that you need.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
    ADORATION: Take a moment to focus your thoughts on God's sovereignty, His power, love, and might that rule over all the earth. Know He is in complete control of your world, and only He can do the wondrous things you desire and need in your life. Think of all His mighty deeds you have witnessed, answered prayers, and amazing acts in your life and the lives around you. Rest in the Lord’s strength, knowing He always has been and always will be Your help.

    CONFESSION: Confess any fear and doubts that are keeping you from surrendering to Him, along with any lack of trust that He will be your help even in the toughest situations. Ask for the Lord to show you His mercy and grace, then receive it.

    THANKSGIVING: Think of a time when God delivered you from your distress. Thank Him for the ways He has helped you and for the times when He has comforted you. Praise Him for the good things He has done in your life.

    SUPPLICATION: Lord, I call upon You now for help, for comfort, for provision, and strength. My eyes are on You and You alone. Teach me Your ways and sustain me through all that doesn’t make sense right now. Guide me, protect me, and sustain me through this night. InJesus' name, I pray. Amen.

    PRAYER

    Gracious God, there is no one like You. You have shown favor to the faithful through chaos, calamity, and cultural strife. I am grateful for Your faithfulness and overwhelmed by Your goodness. My heart beats in tandem with the Psalm of David, declaring You are slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness. Though I am undeserving of Your grace, You pour it out abundantly. Tonight, as the sun sets and the stillness of the night approaches, may all Your good and gracious deeds flood my memory. I pray my heart would rest in a bed of humility, knowing that You have dealt with me graciously. There is no amount of striving or climbing I could ever attempt to climb upon Your holy mountain. You carry me there with kindness. So hold me tonight, Lord Jesus. Carry me to comfort. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

    DEVOTION
    Based on Psalm 85
    Even when we go through times or seasons when we stray from God’s presence, His truth and righteousness work to restore us to Himself because His love for us is so great. It’s comforting to know that He is always ready to forgive and bring us back into His grace.

    As tonight’s psalm says, His unfailing love and the joy of His salvation bring the restoration we need to begin again. Breathe out the sorrows and regrets from the day, and inhale God’s life-giving pres­ ence and love. Sook in the strength and renewal His Word of truth gives, and rest in His core. Clear your mind of any distractions by letting go of the anxious thoughts from today and your to-do list for tomorrow, focusing instead on God’s faithfulness and love.
    A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
    ADORATION: Meditating on God’s love, truth, and righteousness will renew your mind and refresh your spirit, awakening a new longing for the Lord and His ways within you. He will lighten your heart with His forgiveness and love. Praise Him now for His goodness to you.

    CONFESSION: Confess any sin the Lord has convicted you of, repenting and asking for His forgiveness. Know His love, poured out for you, covers all your sin and shame.

    THANKSGIVING: Rejoice in the righteousness of the Lord, thinking of the ways He has been faithful in your life. Thank Him for the times when He has healed you and restored you. Thank Him for the times when He has blessed you with a plentiful harvest.

    SUPPLICATION: Lord, I’m both humbled and grateful I can come to You without fear, knowing Your forgiveness awaits. Your healing and restoration are what I need tonight and every night. I look to You as my Light to guide me
    into a safe, quiet place where I can rest. Your faithfulness to me is amazing. All glory to You. Amen.

    PRAYER

    Dear God, tonight as I lay my weary head upon my pillow, I will close my eyes and be consumed with ways to bless You. In this moment of peaceful silence, before I am whisked away to peaceful sleep, I seek to hear Your loving voice. Your words bring comfort and peace, but they also bring purpose. I know there is no joy without finding purpose in You. So I pray that You would reveal Your will, release me from restlessness, and give me responsibility. Yes, Lord, set a path before me so I might walk faithfully. Only then will I be able to lay my head down and be at peace, knowing that I ran a good race, fought a good fight, and endured difficulty for the sake of Your kingdom. In Jesus’ name, I trust. In Jesus’ name, I follow. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
