Impact Talks: Pride Month 2024

  • Summary

  • As part of Haymarket’s celebration of Pride Month 2024, and in alignment with UN SDG 4: Quality Education, UN SDG 5: Gender Equality, our commitment to DEI, we hear from a selection of journalists around the world, to delve into some of their LGBTQIA+ related content. Tara finds out more about their work, its impact, the inspiration behind it and any stereotypes of misconceptions they challenged.

Pride Month a dedicated time to recognise and celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community, acknowledging their contributions, culture, and history. At the same time, it is a powerful reminder of their resilience and strength. So many have fought, and continue to fight for their rights and acceptance in society. While progress has been made that should be celebrated, there are still many challenges and injustices that the LGBTQIA+ community faces worldwide, as our interviewees will delve into shortly.
