• EP 27: Black History Spotlight: How the welfare system destroyed the black community
    Mar 2 2025

BLACK HISTORY TRUTH: THE “MAN IN THE HOUSE” RULE & THE BREAKDOWN OF THE BLACK FAMILY 🏡Did you know the U.S. government once forced Black fathers out of their own homes just so families could receive financial assistance?During the 1960s and 1970s, welfare programs had a rule that denied benefits to women if a man was living in the house—even if he was the father of her children. This meant thousands of Black families had to make a heartbreaking choice:💔 Stay together and struggle financially💔 OR separate so the mother and children could receive aidThis policy didn’t just hurt families in the moment—it created lasting damage that we STILL see today:❌ A rise in single-parent households❌ A stereotype of the “absent Black father”❌ Economic instability & generational povertyEven though the rule was eventually overturned, the damage was done. But here’s the truth: Black fathers are present, Black families are strong, and we are reclaiming our financial power.🚀 It’s time to break the cycle and build Black wealth through entrepreneurship, homeownership, and group economics. The past won’t hold us back—we are rewriting our future!✊🏾 Drop a 🔥 in the comments if you’re ready to build generational wealth!#BlackHistory #BlackFamiliesMatter #WealthBuilding #LegacyMoves

  • EP 25: Black History Spotlight: The inventor of the Potato Chip
    Mar 2 2025

Did you know that one of America’s favorite snacks, the potato chip, has roots in Black history? George Speck, also known as George Crum, along with his sister Kate Speck, revolutionized the culinary world with an accidental invention that became a global phenomenon.

Join me as we uncover the remarkable story of this dynamic sibling duo. George, a talented chef of African American and Native American descent, turned a simple act of culinary defiance into the creation of the potato chip. But the story doesn’t stop there—Kate Speck’s influence in the kitchen played a crucial role in their success, a contribution often overlooked in history.

Let’s celebrate their ingenuity, resilience, and the often untold stories that have shaped our culture. This is more than just about food—it’s about honoring the rich, flavorful legacy of Black excellence.

    Mar 2 2025

Some white southerners wanted to separate from black people so badly, but they wanted us to raise their kids, clean their homes, and even had secret love affairs with young girls. Senator Strom Thurmond from South Carolina was a walking contradiction. A staunch supporter of segregation, fought against civil rights, but couldn’t keep his hands off the Black 16 year old family maid. This is your black history lesson today. #blackhistory #blackhistorymonth #stromthurmond #segregation #integration #interracialrelationships #biracial

    Mar 2 2025

🔥 BLACK HISTORY SPOTLIGHT: The 1712 Slave Revolt in New York 🔥

In the early 18th century, enslaved Africans in New York took a bold stand against oppression. On April 6, 1712, a group of enslaved people launched a rebellion, setting fire to a building and fighting back against their captors. Though their uprising was met with brutal retaliation, their courage became a lasting symbol of resistance.

This revolt was one of the first organized acts of defiance against slavery in the American colonies, proving that our ancestors never accepted bondage in silence. Their fight laid the foundation for future resistance movements that shaped our history.

Let’s honor their bravery by learning, sharing, and continuing the fight for justice! ✊🏾

  • EP 21: Black History Spotlight: The Black Man Who Perfected the Light Bulb: Lewis Latimer
    Mar 2 2025

💡 Meet the Black Man Who Perfected the Light Bulb: Lewis Latimer 💡

They told you Thomas Edison invented the light bulb, but what they DIDN’T tell you is that without Lewis Latimer, it wouldn’t have lasted long enough to be useful.

    🔥 Who was Lewis Latimer?

✔️ A self-taught engineer & inventor who improved the carbon filament in Edison’s light bulb, making it longer-lasting, more efficient, and affordable for everyday use.

✔️ The man behind modern street lighting, helping cities across the U.S. and beyond light up their roads.

✔️ The brains behind Alexander Graham Bell’s telephone patent—yes, he played a major role in the invention of the telephone, too!

Yet, his name was almost erased from history. Edison got the credit, but Latimer was the reason the light bulb became practical for everyday people.

🚨 This is why we have to tell OUR history. They’ll teach Edison, but not Latimer. They’ll teach Bell, but not the Black genius who helped make it happen.
