From the Depths to the Mics, Our Journey + April's Events Recap

  • Summary

  • Welcome back to Aqua Agenda! In this episode, your host Tanner Oswald, Coastal Coordinator, is joined by Angel Fisher, Director of Coastal Conservation, and Zia Yazdani, Coastal Manager, from the BC Métis Federation.

We kick off by sharing our personal journeys into conservation, from childhood memories to professional paths. Angel reflects on her roots in Saskatoon and her journey to working with the Canadian Coast Guard and BC Métis Federation. Tanner shares his transition from healthcare to conservation, Zia discusses his lifelong connection to nature and his role as a manager with the Coastal Conservation team.

We'll also recap our April activities, including our largest beach cleanup event at English Bay, the Trailblazers hike in North Vancouver, and the Title Talks community session in Fort St. John.

Join us for an engaging discussion on conservation efforts, community involvement, and exciting upcoming events. Don't miss out on how you can get involved and support our mission for clean and healthy coastal waters.
