  • When my sixth-grade teacher told me to get up in front of class and pretend I was a politician giving a speech while his pants were falling down, an actor was born. The actor becomes the playwright when I read all the parts in another scene from my hit comedy Escabana In Da Moonlight, and then I take you back to my first few days in 1970s Greenwich Village leading into the song “Ain’t Nothin’ New In New York City.”
