About the Creator and Performer

Jeff Daniels is a five-time Emmy nominee, winning in Best Lead Actor for The Newsroom and Best Supporting Actor for Godless. He has also received Golden Globe nominations on the big screen for his performances in The Purple Rose of Cairo, Something Wild and The Squid and the Whale, as well as one for The Newsroom. Daniels is also a three-time individual Screen Actors Guild Award nominee. His other major screen roles include the Dumb and Dumber franchise, The Martian, Looper, Good Night and Good Luck, Gods and Generals, The Hours, Pleasantville, Gettysburg, Radio Days, Terms of Endearment and Ragtime. Daniels is also a three-time Tony nominee, for To Kill a Mockingbird (the highest grossing American play in Broadway history), Blackbird and God of Carnage. Daniels was also seen as former FBI director James Comey in The Comey Rule, for which he received a Golden Globe nomination. He starred in the Showtime drama American Rust, which can be streamed in full on Prime Video. Most recently, Daniels starred in Netflix’s limited series A Man in Full, which debuted on May 2, 2024. Next up, Daniels will portray former President Ronald Reagan alongside J.K Simmons and Jared Harris in the upcoming Cold War film, Reykjavik.

Such an affirming ,heartfelt, funny writer and musician. I’ve always enjoyed Jeff Daniel’s acting. But this a whole new(for me) experience of his incredible talent. A delightful listen.

I was captivated by Jeff’s stories, music and hilarious characters! I listened for over 3 hours unable to stop it was so good! I laughed out loud, smiled big and at times had tears. All the feels! Highly recommend this! Bravo Jeff and son Ben for this beautiful memoir!

I signed back up for Audible just for this and it is well worth it! During the last episode, Mr. Daniels said this is the end of season one. PLEASE tell us there is a season two coming!!! I could listen to this man tell stories all day, and in fact,that’s exactly what I’ve done this weekend. Ready for more!!

I laughed so hard at the Cooperstown road trip that I did pee my pants. I enjoyed everything, especially some of the songs - I had no idea he was a songwriter. If I wasn't laughing, I was listening hard and thinking. I need to read To Kill A Mockingbird! Thank you so much for a really nice ride.

A heartfelt memoir that I didn't want to end. The writing is outstanding and I'm sure Aaron Sorkin enjoyed it as much as I did! Was sad it was done. Loved the music and the lyrics were perfect. Thanks for sharing.
