WVU football has announced two additional football games that will occur in Charlotte, NC at Bank of America Stadium, home to the Carolina Panthers. In this episode of the Gold & Blue Breakdown, Couz and Jonathan will look ahead to WVU football's upcoming contest against the Cincinnati Bearcats in week 11 of the college football season. This Big 12 football matchup features two teams who are both 3-2 in league play and trying to stay in the conference title race. The West Virginia Mountaineers will travel to Cincinnati, Ohio to take on the Bearcats in a game that will kickoff at 12:00pm Eastern time and will air on FS1. West Virginia starting quarterback Garrett Greene is doubtful for the game due to injury, so Nicco Marchiol will once again be looked upon to lead the Mountaineer offense. Cincinnati quarterback Brendan Sorsby will look to star running back Corey Kiner to make big plays in the run game against a stiff Mountaineer rush defense. Sorsby may also rely on wide receiver Xzavier Henderson to take advantage of a WVU secondary that has struggled all season long. Meanwhile, the WVU defense will be led by new Defensive Coordinator Jeff Koonz, who replaces Jordan Lesley. Lesley was fired by head coach Neal Brown during the bye week. Sophomore phenom Avery Johnson leads K-State into Morgantown, WV to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers this Saturday, October 19 in what will be a 7:30pm EDT kickoff on FOX. Johnson, who has thrown for over 1,100 yards and ran for over 300 in just six games, will look to his backfield mate D.J. Giddens to help lead the Wildcats to victory. Giddens has rushed for 786 yards so far on the season and is averaging 7.3 yards per carry. Brendan Mott, who leads the Big 12 with 6.5 sacks, will lead Coach Chris Klieman’s KSU defense into Morgantown.

WVU will be led by senior quarterback Garrett Greene, who has similar stats to Johnson. Greene has thrown for over 1,200 yards and ran for nearly 400. Can Greene and running back tandem C.J. Donaldson and Jaheim White carry the Mountaineers to victory? Couz and Jonathan will give you their opinion at the end of the show.
