  • Are you Meek? or Strong?
    Jul 7 2024

Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, addresses the biblical definition of meekness. In the sermon on the Mount Jesus said, “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” He explains how the biblical definition of meekness is radically different from our contemporary understanding. The word meek in the Greek New Testament does not suggest weakness, rather it means strength brought under control. In other words, a meek person chooses to withhold their strength for the sake of peace, it is someone who is strong, confident, and armored for the world. He points out that the founders of America acknowledged their reliance on God as they signed the Declaration of Independence. Because they were prepared to submit everything to God even if it meant loss of wealth, family, and life they should be considered meek in the biblical sense. Dr. Hall ends the podcast by telling listeners that when Jesus said, “the meek shall inherit the earth,” it does not mean we are called to be meek and cowardly. We are called to be strong, confident, competent, and well-trained. Can also be seen on YouTube at:

  • What the Bible Doesn't Say
    Jun 29 2024

Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, reviews some of the commonly misplaced assumptions about what is in the Bible. He highlights the phrase, “God helps those who help themselves.” Dr. Hall demonstrates how this phrase is a blatant contradiction to everything that Scripture teaches. The focus then turns to the phrase, “God never gives you more than you can handle.” It is pointed out that this phrase appears nowhere in the Bible and seems to be taken from 1 Corinthians 10 – 13, which says that God will not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear. Dr. Hall then turns his attention to what is known as the prosperity gospel movement that includes big-name explicit proponents like TD Jakes, Joel Osteen, and Joyce Meyer. He analyzes the main beliefs in the prosperity gospel movement and demonstrates why it should be considered heresy. The podcast concludes by pointing out that prosperity theology preachers who focus solely on preparing people for their best life now can do little to prepare them for eternity. • God's Gift-In Vitro Fertilization
    Jun 22 2024

Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, reacts to Southern Baptist churches adopting a resolution at their annual meeting to oppose in vitro fertilization (IVF). He explains how this procedure is used to overcome infertility problems in couples. Opposition to this procedure usually hinges on whether embryos developed in the laboratory should be considered human life. Dr. Hall points out that when a mother becomes pregnant and does nothing, and there is no miscarriage, a baby will be born. But if the embryo exists in a dish or a freezer in the laboratory and you do nothing, there will never be a baby. Dr. Hall uses Scripture to demonstrate how overcoming infertility is something that pleases God. He then points out how modern medicine is used to overcome many diseases, disabilities, and infertility and that these abilities are a gift from God. Dr. Hall explains that it is only when an embryo produced in a laboratory and is given the chance to attach to a woman’s uterus, that the woman becomes pregnant. It is at this point that we see the fruition of what David said to God in Psalm 39:13, “You knitted me together in my mother’s womb.” The podcast concludes by urging the listeners to let those whose birth was the product of in vitro fertilization that they are the creation of God as much as anyone else. • Trump Trial, Constitution and Christians
    Jun 7 2024

Ordained minister, Dr. Dennis Hall, uses the recent Donald Trump trial as a springboard for a discussion about the history and purpose of the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. He points out that when the framers of the Constitution signed the document the date stated was the 17th day of September in the year of our Lord seventeen hundred and eight seven. This is not just a meaningless formality for signature, but it is clear that these men had no hesitation about recognizing the birth of Jesus Christ as the central event in human history. Dr. Hall demonstrates that the source most often cited by our founding fathers in their political writings is the Bible. He outlines how our forefathers of this nation paid for their commitment to constitutional protections with their lives and livelihoods. Dr. Hall outlines how the founding fathers believed that God had given them certain rights and expected the courts to fully protect those rights. He reviews how the Constitution provides numerous protections for the rights of accused persons. Dr. Hall then turns his attention to the recent trial of former president Donald Trump in Manhattan New York where it appears that several constitutional protections were not provided to this defendant, resulting in a widespread opinion that this verdict will be overturned. Dr. Hall makes the case that the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution are divinely inspired documents that are critical to the survival of our nation.
