  • Steelers vs. Colts preview: A look into the Justin Fields-Anthony Richardson showdown
    Sep 26 2024

“Bleav in Steelers” host Mark Bergin is joined by “Bleav in Colts” host Lawrence Owen to preview the Week 4 game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Indianapolis Colts.

First, the guys share stories of the St. Elmo Steak House in Indianapolis

The guys discussed how Justin Fields has the Steelers off to a 3-0 start by playing ball-control football. The Steelers' offense has only one turnover and they’ve won time of possession in their three wins.

The Steelers are +4 in turnover margin too.

Pittsburgh’s ability to sustain offensive drives has helped the defense get off to a dominant start.

The Steelers will be without Alex Highsmith due to a groin injury. Second-year edge rusher Nick Herbig looks to fill in for Highsmith.

Second-year quarterback Anthony Richardson is off to a shaky start with the Colts entering Sunday’s game with a 1-2 record.

Richardson will look to get back on track against a Steelers team allowing 8.67 points per game.

The Colts’ offense also relies upon running back Jonathan Taylor and guard Quenton Nelson.

Rookie Colts defensive end Laiatu Latu is expected to match up against Steelers left tackle Dan Moore Jr. on Sunday.

  • Steelers postgame: Why Justin Fields should continue to start, defense dominates vs. Chargers
    Sep 22 2024

"Bleav in Steelers" host Mark Bergin shares his thoughts after the Pittsburgh Steelers' 20-10 win against the Los Angeles Chargers in NFL Week 3.

Bergin explained why he thinks quarterback Justin Fields should continue to start, regardless of Russell Wilson's health. Fields played his best game so far for the Steelers.

The Steelers' defense was dominant, allowing only 10 points in the game. In the second half, the Steelers had five sacks and didn't allow a score. Bergin said he believes the Steelers defense is the NFL's best defense. The Chargers had -5 yards of offense in the second half and didn't have a first down in the third quarter.

Bergin also believes Nick Herbig is better than Alex Highsmith. Herbig had two sacks filling in for Highsmith, who left the game with a groin injury. Van Jefferson (eye) and Cory Trice Jr. (hamstring) also left the game due to injuries.

Next up, the Steelers hit the road to play the Indianapolis Colts in NFL Week 4.

    Sep 8 2024

Justin Fields helped guide the Steelers to the win, starting over Russell Wilson, who did not play due to a calf injury.
