  • Episode 10: Old Friends Become New Rivals
    Nov 24 2024

Colby Barlow makes his return to the Bayshore for the first time as a member of the Oshawa Generals. It's a chance for closure...and possibly redemption...not just for Colby but also for David Bedkowski and Tristan Delisle, who went the other way in the trade for the former Attack Captain.

Due to tight schedules after the game, we weren't able to get Colby as a guest this week but I did speak with him on RogersTV during the first intermission - it was clear this was an emotional game for all involved.

Also this week, we're joined by Attack rookie Pierce Mbuyi who recently won silver the the U17 World Hockey Challenge and Attack head coach Scott Wray to recap the weekend and next week's road trip.

The Media Room Roundtable will convene to discuss Colby Barlow's legacy in Owen Sound and Carter George's potential trip to the World Juniors...

Plus a surprise guest - longtime Owen Sound media personality and former Attack staffer, Dave Middleton, who was at the game to cover duties as the in-game host on Saturday.

The Owen Sound Attack and their fans travelled East last week...

A memorable trip that began with a Goalie Goal from Carter George and ended with a broken down bus on the trip home - ah the joys of life on the road.

While the Attack experienced their own "breakdown" on Friday Night in Kingston, the team rebounded with a solid effort in Ottawa on Sunday.

This week, we chat with Owen Sound Attack Athletic Therapist, Andy Brown, to learn more about his career in the OHL and representing Canada on the bench at the World Junior Hockey Championship.

We head to Ottawa and Kingston for interviews with Kenny Walls, radio voice of the 67's...and Ryan Lemmon, PA announcer/Gameday Operations & Community Events with the Frontenacs.

Also, a great conversation with Attack Superfan, local restaurant owner and Autism Advocate, Achilles Stavrou!

  • Episode 8: The hockey world shifts...
    Nov 11 2024

Huge news this week as the NCAA Division 1 Council approved a rule change that will make CHL players eligible to play NCAA hockey next season. The changes were quick, with Kitchener Rangers goalie Jackson Parson becoming the first OHL player to make an NCAA commitment. Meanwhile, Providence-commit Mason Roy departed the OJHL's Burlington Cougars to make his OHL debut - both will join us on the podcast this week.

Our media interviews include Leigh Cunningham, veteran radio voice of the Sarnia Sting. Also, a young voice, David Bowen, talks about the family influences that helped lead him to the broadcast booth.
