About this listen

It's probably not a good sign when you start reading the refund policy on your mail-order bride....

I had two choices. Go to prison or marry an alien. I chose the alien. I should have picked prison.

Don't get me wrong. He's so...big. He can lift me with one hand. He's handsome as sin, with a touch that can send any woman into a supernova. I melt from the moment I see him - and not just because his planet is a million degrees.

I'm now a Companion to one of the most important aliens in the galaxy. And I have no idea what I'm doing. I can't cook. I can't clean. The only thing I know how to do is...that thing.

But I better learn to keep house fast. Because if I can service all of this alien's outrageous needs, I'm in trouble.

Why, you ask? Because one thing. You see, I never realized in my life of crime and theft that this alien would steal my own heart.

Contains mature themes.

I liked the unique storyline. The narration left a bit to be desired. The female narrator sounded too old for the character and lacked inflection.

Good story

Sadly, this story is a bit to long... It drags out. if this was a movie, I went for a drink or something.
The plot is nice but there is not enough swung to make it swift to listen. The narrators are very good.

Inventive plots , characters are good. Not just the same old. Stakes never get too high. Just fun escapist romance on another planet. I got no complaints.

Pretty silly but I like these

Liked the story. Narrator killed it. Literally. Made this whole thing so cringy I stopped listening.

Good story

Both narrators are annoying, but the story (redemption and love theme) but the story has good character growth and active storyline. Good sex scenes, without overwhelming the story.

Terrible narrators, good story

A little unusual story about aliens and human and a romance between the alien scientist and a human female, criminal. It was ok but in my opinion it was a bit condensed and lacking in some areas.

I liked this one the most in the series.
It’s no great literary piece. But it’s entertaining enough to listen to, if not read. But listening while doing other things it’s a good time stealer

Sci-fi romance

I picked this one up because the first book is was a riot to me. It was silly, funny, and steamy. This second book holds none of that same charm. I think the male narrator (Tristan) really let it down. In the first book he went all out with the voices and acting, in this one I couldn't tell characters apart most of the time and while he was trying to give Zerberu that stilted nerd cadence, it ended being applied to all the characters when he was narrating. Aside from the narration, the story drags a bit and near the end when the MFC does yet another "I don't love you move" I just hard rolled my eyes and skipped ahead a few chapters because it was just too much/too predictable for me. It ends well and very cute, but over all the story could've been better. I don't regret getting it and I might get the next book if it goes on deep discount sale, but this isn't going to be a "wish list" series for me. I 100% still recommend the first book because it is just so funny to me.

not as good as the first book

I'm at the age where I don't have any tolerance for miscommunication and this book is 98% lying and miscommunication. Had to DNF after the end of chapter 24 because it gets to a point... there was no need to drag the story the way this book did.

As one dimensional as Vera and Zerberu are they are very unlikeable. Zerberu is a blubbering man-child with a spine made out of a spaghetti noodle who just falls in love with the first entity who made him c(um) and Vera is reduced down to a spiteful, shrewd, sex vixen who contradicts herself at every opportunity. I could not root for their HEA. They both just sucked so much. The last MMC in the last book was a man-child too but since I thought these books weren't serious, it was funny... the dramatics and cringy writing... I mean the FMC in the last book was an inbred, broke princess with anger issues who mentally merged with a sentient space ship that only communicated through song and could feel her orgasms... Hello? but no.. Athena is actually trying to tell competent romance stories but even for alien romances this writing is just so goofy.

Ehh.. Miscommunication and misunderstandings

Both HR and HR cry and are just not a very exciting story. at least I made it through this book conspired to the first one. No content but great readers.
