In 1864, headstrong Pinkerton man Zachary Beddoes is tired of guarding hotels and railway stations, so he decides to quit his life of private law-enforcement and head west for gold. Had Potential
I didn't care for this authors writing style. I felt that the way he wrote the story was rather immature. The main character was weak and undesirable. I only finished this book because I didn't want to give up on it. But I would not recommend it to others. I felt the narrator did a pretty good job with the poor material he had to work with.
