This book is about free enterprise and the inalienable rights that the preamble to our Constitution grants us as citizens: “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”. It’s no accident that the founding fathers chose the word "pursuit" of happiness, not happiness. Happiness is always personal and we as citizens have the freedom to pursue happiness on our own terms, not someone else’s.
Rather than write a book about what’s wrong with America, this is a book about what’s right about America. We have enjoyed the most incredible standard of living in history. I hope that you will be encouraged with new hope as you listen and are reminded of the blessings of free enterprise. There is a profound message being promoted today: Let government provide happiness and replace free enterprise with socialism and central government planning.
My father had a great saying and it applies today: “If it’s not broke, don’t fix it!”
