Yocandra in Cuba

This book is mostly a magical realism story of a woman named Yocandra who lives through Castro’s Cuba for several decades. While it is short, at almost just 4 hours, there is a lot of information in the story. The story is told in first person through Yocandra’s eyes and told in what I assume is magical realism style. It is also very exotic with many suggestive scenes and moments not recommended for children. The narrator is excellent with the Spanish pronunciation and her accent adds more of thinking that Yocandra is really narrating the book.
