Worth the Listen!!

I’ve enjoyed all of the previous stories in this series, but for me this one was the most emotional. Reliving Hannah’s story through Nick and Mia and seeing the impact that the events had on them completely broke my heart!

“...but regret… that was harder because there were always choices, every minute of every day. Every step and turn led to an outcome that might have been different. And when your choices led to tragedy? Then you’d cut off a limb to change even one of those steps.”

Worth The Wait is an amazing second chance for two characters who are the most deserving of their HEA.
I loved listening to most of this story on audiobook in the car. It made my commute seem to go by so quickly!

Second Chance At First Love

I was very curious about Nick and Mia's story from book 2 in the series so I was thrilled that they were front and center in this book. This story moved me to almost tears -- I teared up but just didn't let them fall. This story was both heartbreaking and heartwarming. Both Nick and Mia seem to love each other deeply but don't know how to let go of past hurts enough to move on and share a life together. It was difficult listening to two people who wanted to, needed to be together but couldn't get out of their own heads to make it happen. It was nice to catch up with some of my favorite people from previous books in the series. I won't give up too much details about this story but I did like that we get first hand glimpses in their lives and their relationship from the beginning to what ended it all. These two have waited a very long time to get their second chamce.

Mia Gaskin was okay as a narrator, she did fine a Mia but she was marginal as Nick and the other males in the story. I wanted my tough FBI agent to have a deeper more masculine voice.

Absolutely worth the credit, just hope I don't have to wait another year for the next book in the series.

Totally amazing book by amazing author

Would you listen to Worth the Wait again? Why?

I don't normally like romance like novels and I just can not wait to read another of Claudia Connor's book in her series. If you try one you will need to read/listen to them all!!!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Worth the Wait?

Characters are just so developed perfectly that you feel like you are in the story and routing for them all!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Just made me love them!!!

Any additional comments?

Don't worry if you read one of these out of the series you can easily pick up and read any as an individual read but it is nice to read and then hear the names of other characters that you know the history on if you have read them all! Totally amazing

Wonderful !!!

Would you consider the audio edition of Worth the Wait to be better than the print version?

I think this story carries well over both.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved getting a little glimpse of Hannah and Steven again. But really Mia and Nick have such a tragic love story it's hard not for them to be my favorites.

What about Mia Gaskin’s performance did you like?

Her depth of of feeling when the story line called for it was great.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes most definitely! I have re-read it again and again 🤓❤️

Any additional comments?

Claudia Connor does romance like no other!

I've been waiting to hear about these brothers!

I enjoyed getting my answers to the mystery. I loved the Mckinney Brothers series..is this the beginning of a new series??? This book was good. I love this author. I didn't listen to this book straight through as I've done with the series because I felt the need to take breaks from the repetition at times and the narrator took a little getting used to for me...I'm used to voices like Andi Arndt or Lidia Dornet. I felt like some things were said over and over but I still liked and would recommend this book.

This was the older brother to Hanna who took care of the family at the age of 19 when his parents died in a car accident. Mia was his girlfriend (and like a mom to the bunch of siblings) with her cooking, cleaning, caring and talks. After 13 years they broke up and came back together when little Hanna (2 when Mia met the family) was now grown and getting married. I had so many questions around this couple and I got all my answers. Now I want to know more about the second oldest who seem to have taken off when the oldest needed help raising the siblings.

Loved it!

I thought the first books were good but by far, this one is way better. I felt the pain of the characters. I can't wait to see what's next.

Wonderful

I loved this story. Laughing, crying and sorrow at how life can take you to where you didn't want to go.
