Another Winner But....
You normally can't go wrong with this series. What I loved about this one was the multiple POVs. I didn't love how she pulled the current political landscape into it. We have so much of it in our everyday lives, does it have to invade our fictional world too? Patricia Briggs... Please please please leave it out of your writing & just let us enjoy your story. That once scene added NOTHING to the story. I'm removing one star because the political writing added nothing and left a bad taste in my mouth.
Other than that, the interludes didn't bother me. I wish she would have either left out the ones with the Darrell & the sniper or added more. That didn't really add any value either. This was a really interesting story and I loved Grandma Spider. I can't wait to see if Zees character remains dark & creepy or if he goes back or normal. I don't think I can wait another year for the next book!

Long awaited not disappointed
As always my favorite PNW author as created a story that suck you in and you sit on the edge or your seat to see what trouble her characters are going to face next. Thank you and can’t wait for the next!

Great expectations well met.
This much-anticipated installment in the Mercy Thompson series was full of action and surprises. Without giving spoilers, it is a fitting and enjoyable read. I love how Mercy thinks of herself as simple and not powerful but many of the most powerful beings in her universe feel the need to protect and help her. As always, well written and well performed. Love, Love, Love Patricia Briggs!!
There really isn't any story of this author that I dislike. Even her earliest books are fun to listen to and read. I've been a fan of Mercy since I discovered them quite a while ago. This latest installment doesn't disappoint. I cannot recommend this series enough and I can't wait until the next one comes out. I also recommend any of the other books this author writes. you won't be disappointed.

The best yet!
Patricia Briggs never ceases to amaze me. She develops her characters with depth, imagination, skill and sprinkles them with magic. As a long term Pacific North Western, I'd not be surprised to inadvertently recognize any of her characters while out doing my daily business. For best results, don't read this book first. Begin the binge with the first Mercy Thompson book and work your way to the newest. Enjoy!
