Fast Paced

Loved the glimpse into Roman’s Life! Way to go to the authors! Definitely recommend either reading or listening ( the narrator is fantastic!!!)

Looking forward to more

Not what I was expecting, but so much better. Hopefully many more will follow. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Action Packed & Potential of more stories w Roman

A good short story, lots of folk lore condensed in a small book. More than the other books in the Kate Daniels series. Between the narrator and the folk lore this book was a bit on the dry side, but Roman snarky personality showed through enough to enjoy the story. I look forward to more stories from Roman, hopefully with more interaction with the kid’s sister for the next book. Best if read after Kate Daniels series, although the name pronunciation changed. Narrator was okay.

Great story!

Beautiful imagery masterfully brought forth by an excellent narrator. Lots of dry humor as well as poignant moments and wonderful twists in an easy listen that only takes a few hours.

Roman’world opens up to us all

Roman’s tale! I loved all of the storyline and characters. I had issues with the narrator . However I will now confess that I felt Sweep of the Blade narrator would suddenly throw me out due to odd pronunciations..but after the 10th audible relisten I no longer can even find the parts that bothered me. I am only on third listen so I am sure I will come to love this narrator as well. This is a wonderfully written novella.

Good story but not the level of the other books

Good story, but not up to the level as the other books. I don’t see myself re-reading this unfortunately, even though I love Roman. I Found myself not paying attention at some sections due to the sleepy sounding and achingly slow monotone reading of the narrator throughout the whole book. I like that it fit Roman’s voice and character, but with no variety to break the monotone throughout was difficult to be engaged in. Imagine someone reading to u with that slow monotone throughout, it’ll be hard not to space out. Other than that, I’m such a huge fan of Ilona and will read the next book, just like anything she puts out. I might opt to read instead of listening to the audio next time.

Amazing!

Love this book! Love the narrator! The names are pronounce differently, but after the first couple of chapters it became how you want them pronounced. Absolutely Love This Book!!!

Worth the listen

The narration was very good. The story kept me interested and wanting to continue. I will be looking forward to a new book in this series.

Pre-ordered this first installment of the Sanctuary series. Absolutely cannot wait until the next part of series comes out! Favorite writer duo! This new novella sucked me in immediately! Listened to the entire audiobook on the day it was released. Now experiencing “book withdrawal” while waiting for next part of Sanctuary series! The narrator is perfect for this one!
