About this listen

It's Easter in the Suffolk village of Great Saxwold. Oliver Hardcastle is scraping an existence as an organic farmer. Miranda Marlow, high-earning international town-planner, is not looking forward to a weekend with her mother at a country-house hotel. But thanks to a teenage Goth, a wine-tasting at Chateau Saxwold, and an urban fox, love finds a way to change Miranda's mind.© Celia Brayfield; (P)Oakhill Publishing Ltd Contemporary Literature & Fiction

short story gone wild

Young people looking for love, over-protective mothers, animal protection, politics: What was this book about? I expected a fun story with some romance and maybe - because of the author being British - some black humour. Well, this is what I did not get.
It was boring, puffed-up with not a single likeable character. I finished it but was relieved when it was over. The narration was not good, way to overdone and the production could have been edited better.
