Great Addition to the Series!

Layla (LJ) moves back to Baltimore and opens a coffee shop and runs into her old friend Finn.  They meet to catch up, and Finn has never been a guy to want a relationship, but after spending some time with LJ, he is thinking maybe we may want that.  LJ is only looking to have some fun and live on the wild side and not get tied down.  Finn is thinking about it but has to go away for a conference, but while he is gone, LJ meets his best friend Miguel and they spend some time together.  Once Finn is back and they both find out what is going on, they talk to LJ about exploring her wild side with both of them.   The rest of the story gets pretty exciting between the 3 of them and you will just have to give it a listen to find out what happens.  I really loved this story the relationship between the 3 of them, and having the family back in the story. The narration was also great.

Wild Side

Layla needed a change and moved from Philly to Baltimore to open a coffee shop where she runs into her childhood friend Finn. Excited to see his childhood friend, Finn and LJ, as he calls her, begin to spend time together catching up. LJ expresses her desire to explore her wild side after leaving a long time relationship where as Finn is looking for a relationship. Finn's best friend Miguel has been in love with him for some time and Finn struggles coming to realize he feels the same about Miquel. When they convince Layla they will help her explore her wild side, the three of them are explosive. As they finally give into their real feelings for each other, they all get the HEA they deserve.

Good narration.

Wild Side

This is the ninth book in the Wilder Irish series. It can be read as a standalone book. Layla moved back to Baltimore and took over ownership of the coffee shop. Finn ran into Layla at the coffee shop and they started reconnecting. Finn also was trying to figure out his feelings for his best friend Miguel. Layla was the perfect balance they needed. Lee Daniels, Connor Brown and Oliver Highpoint did a great job narrating this book.

Wild Side

Wild Side is the 9th book in the Wilder Irish series. Each of these books is about different characters and could be read as astandalone. I've only read a few in this series. This book is about Layla, Finn, and Miguel and is told from all three points of view.

All three characters are trying to figure out what they want in life in terms of relationships. Finn and Layla reconnect in a coffee shop, but Finn also has feelings for his best friend Miguel. When Layla is introduced to both of them at the same time, she's the balance the two guys need.

This book has some things I didn't see coming. I loved seeing the relationships form. Will all three of them get their happy ending or will one of them realize they aren't what the other two need?

I enjoyed this book and will read more from the series.

Finding Their ‘Person(s)’

A seeking Layla moves and wants to begin to live a casual life with no serious relationships. She finds more than she intended when she begins a prearranged one week fling with two best friends, Finn and Miguel. Opening up to possibilities (and something Miguel has been wishing for) Finn finds he is attracted not only to Layla but Miguel and soon they find they can love more than one person, but two.

Mari Carr develops her characters so the reader sees how the three fulfill the needs and hearts of each other. A part of the Wild Irish series, we get to hear from one of my favorite characters, PopPop..

Great narration and a story of love and hope.

A Smoking Hot Trifecta! Fantastic Story & Listen🎧

Mari Carr pens another fabulous novel set in her “Wilder Irish” series, and she turns up the heat for this trifecta of a romance, between Finn, Miguel and Layla. After breaking off a long-term relationship, Layla left Philadelphia and her overprotective Moretti brothers to start over in Baltimore, the place she spent her younger years. She purchased and runs a coffee shop, The Daily Grind, which is Finn’s favorite place. So when he stops in, it surprised him to see his childhood friend LJ, Layla Jean, and the two reconnect and catch up. All grown up and gorgeous, Finn is attracted to her, but after hearing her out, realizes she is not looking to get into any type of relationship. Miguel, a police officer and Finn’s friend, is Bi and his attraction to Finn is more than just friends, but he knows Finn is straight and he would not jeopardize their friendship by making a move on him. Should he tell him how he feels about him? It was discouraging to hear that Finn was interested in an old friend who returned to town, so he was about to give up hope that anything more would come out of their friendship. Layla was closing her shop when an armed robber comes in demanding money, she calls the police after he leaves and it was Miguel who responds to shop. Layla and Miguel hit it off too, and they make plans to see each other again. Both Finn and Miguel know she is not looking for a relationship and that she just wants to play the field and explore. When the two realize they both not only know Layla, but are interested in her, all bets are off and it was not Miguel who had to make the first more on Finn, either. I loved how everything played out in this smoking hot MMF romance, the writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. It was great to see and hear more worlds of wisdom from PopPop, also great to see some characters from earlier books and other series. Mari Carr, thank you for another wonderfully entertaining story.

🎧📚🎧 And for amazing narration and lineup of talent, Lee Daniels, Connor Brown and Oliver Highpoint were the perfect cast to bring these characters and story to life. They understood the characters they were portraying, their character voices were fitting, sounding believable and just as I imagined they would sound. You could hear how much heart they put into their performance as they capture all the characters’ emotions and have you feeling them all. These talented and versatile voice artists are entertaining storyteller and their narration enhances this already fantastic story to another level. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Another great romance

Mari Carr has written another great book in this series. We get steam, suspense, heartbreaking and heartwarming moments that endured me to the characters. Finn, Miguel, and LJ/Layla have to find their way through friendship to a HEA and it was a beautiful one. The way family supported them had me cheering. I loved PopPop so much. Completely invested.

Lee Daniels, Connor Brown, and Oliver Highpoint were excellent narrators. They really brought this book to life. Loved that there was three narrators!

Book 9 - Wilder Irish

This is book 9 in Carr's Wilder Irish series and can be read / listened as a standalone. Well written and perfectly narrated by Daniels, Brown and Highpoint who bring our main characters Layla, Finn and Miguel. Relationships are complicated but more so when you think you want one thing, only to realize you wanted and needed something entirely different. These three have wonderful chemistry - some have a bit of history too and seemingly fight the draw to a forever relationship between all three of them. A sub story of a local theft going around comes front and center as danger threatens the reality of the love they share. All's well that ends well and I love the dynamics with all these characters. I adore PopPop and how he's featured in all these books and how he guides these young n's to find the love that's "cursed" this family.

This book was given to me for free at my request and I voluntarily provided this review.
