Pretty good- Greater love for NPS

I agree with other reviews that the Yellowstone section is the best. Otherwise not especially cohesive, but a good book.
Being familiar with the locations and terms used in the book, it was pretty distracting that that narrator wasn’t comfortable with a lot of them.

Could not put it down waiting for the winter! As an EMT & National Ski Patrol, Kevin was engaging, accurate and on point!

Loved the detailed first perspective view of a man growing into his career and overcoming different obstacles that come along his journey.

Very unique story

I enjoyed this book. I certainly have a huge respect for all of the first responders. And especially the ones who work in places that are beautiful but also brutal and very dangerous.

Great Book

I truly enjoyed listening to this book. It is exciting and realistic in all of the descriptions. I hope it is read by young people and that it inspires them to pursue a career like this. I hope they also pay attention to the fact that it takes perseverance to reach each level. The author was humble about his struggles with finding jobs and working his way up. Great job!

Really enjoyed this one

As a healthcare professional interested in backcountry medicine, this book inspired me. Great read and listen! The narrator was excellent and I found myself unable to put this one down (or stop listening). Grange does an excellent job at describing the burden of being a first responder but also the reasons why we do it day after day.
