Amazing!

I loved it. it had me hooked from start to finish and I've already recommended it to 3 of my friends who purchased it. can't wait for the next part

the way they were looking for each other for 7 years...omg

a very powerful story...not only looking for each other for 7 years but learning that they both never forgot and needed the other half of them. even with him dark.

great story, good narration

this book was good I just wish the second book was available already! cliffhanger ending.

Easy to start, hard to finish

The beginning of this book had me HOOKED, I couldn’t stop listening. I enjoyed the anticipation of the MMC closing in on the MFC like a wolf stalking his prey and the amazing sex that they finally got to have for the first time. However, once MMC captured MFC and his plans with her played out, it became hard to listen to. It was like beauty and the beast mixed with fifty shades of gray in a distasteful way. MMC adores and cherish’s MFC but not only does he fight himself to keep this truth from her, he goes the extra mile to humiliate, degrade, and use her like a sex toy before he finally cracks and expresses his undying love for her. And for some reason MFC enjoyed every single hate-sex session and was constantly wet and willing for him every single time he took her? Despite being totally emotionally neglected by him? If this was her newly discovered kink, fine, but this came off as unrealistic. MMC treating MFC so coldly became depressing to read.
I liked that their relationship became more loving and honest later on and I can appreciate the complexity of the characters but, personally, I wouldn’t read this a second time.

The better prose of sexual content

I liked the story. I like Gideon Frost. He does well with the accent. Sometimes I cringe at sexual content because of how it’s said and I appreciated the author’s taking the time to present it a bit smoother than the usually really graphic way. I will be looking for the next book. If you like Mafia/dom romance, but not too dark, you will like this one. I listen to Jane Henry and a few other authors who are a lot darker than this so I’m not a novice, and I thought this had a pretty good storyline.☺️

Good

I purchased this and started listening. Into chapter 4 and stopped. Month later went through my started but not finished and pressed play in this one again. 2 mins in I started it over.
I’m so happy I have this a second chance because it was goooooooddd!!! I will be waiting in book 2 to go on a better sale but ilbook will be was good and left in a cliff hanger

Oh the suspense

This dark romance kept me on my toes the entire time. Surprisingly I wasn’t overly disgusted with the MMC. Often, dark romances elicit extreme emotions in me. But this was different, it was dark but also suspenseful. When the MMC does something bad he usually caves and gives some sort of reason for the behavior that makes you feel a little bad for him. You gotta root for this messed up couple who seem to have extreme obstacles to overcome.

A delectably spicy dark romance

In the safe space of imagination and fantasy, the obsessed, aggressive, and possessive lover/captor of an equally obsessed, and self-possessed heroine that Mila Kane brings to the story are wonderfully developed. She draws you in with interesting main and minor characters and backstories. She weaves a heartwarming but deliciously sensual tale of reunited young love, with a thrilling sequence of events to fret over.
I immediately purchased the 2nd part after the chilling cliffhanger ending!
The narrators did an incredible job of bringing the characters to vivid reality, wonderful portrayals.

So Good.

This book is a perfect dark mafia romance. It’s not too dark but it’s plenty spicy with an interesting storyline. The narration was fantastic.
