That male narrator...ummm

I couldn’t finish listening to it. I had to read it when I got the chance. The male narrator was not good at all. The fact it is the same narrator across all books I just gave up and read it on my own. If he would just read it with his own voice instead of trying to act out the character as a bored surfer?? Maybe it would have been tolerable. I should have read the reviews before purchase.

Male Narrator was TERRIBLE

grrrrrr. story is good so far, but the Male narrator sounds like he's a pothead surfer boy. There were no differences in the Male voices. it was all the same inflection and same droning surfer boy tardo. totally ruined it. trying to finish the story

the male narrator was pretty atrocious, not going to lie. he used this surfer-guy, douchebag tone for all the guys. I tried to speed it up to get through his chapters but he sounded like a South Park character then. I DNF but if I were to go back to it, I’d choose the Kindle version for sure.

Can't finish--awful reading, especially male

i can't say if I like the story or not. The (female) narration for the main character's pov wasn't the worst ever. It did take a little while to be able to actually listen to her instead of automatically tuning her out (🤷🏻‍♀️apparently I do that with some pitches, tones, speech patterns, etc) The male narrator (I will absolutely be saving his name to avoid in the future!)...no. just...no.

IN LOVE

I loved this book and half way through I HAD to make sure there was a second one because there is no way I’m wanting this to end!
I LOVE the narrators, they brought the characters alive. I totally liked the male voice! They both did a great job!

Solid story, but ...

Like many reviews have said, the male narrator is downright awful. Completely cringe like he doesn't know how to just talk to someone.

If you can get past that, the story is worth it.

Great read. Bad narrator

This book was well written and kept me interested throughout. The female narrator was good but as others have said the male narrator is horrible. I’ve listened to other books he has narrated and it’s the same as well. He sounds like a dumb jock and his female characters dialog always makes them sound like they are just dumb girls as well even though they aren’t written as such.

Good Story... but I'll agree to disagree

I like the story. but all the reviews that I have read talk about the female and male narrator. In my opinion the female sounds like a robotthe way she reads. The male had more of a personality when reading. I've listened to other books narrated by these two and its the same she sounds like a robot and he brings personality. Like i said I'll agree to disagree. overall the story is worth listening to.

Good story line

I love the story, but the guy narrator’s voices bother me. The guys are legends, they should have more of a “god” like voice. But the story was great which made me finish it even with the weird voices.

Great story... but.... The male narrator is absolutely TERRIBLE. It was hard to get past that!
