Make performance was… ehh

The only thing I didn’t like was the male narrators performance. Interesting story, but that one thing screwed up my experience with the story.

Great story horrible narration

Book was good but the narration was horrible. Book was cute I was hoping for more smut. The wolf and me are on the same level.

Wonderful Story

I really enjoyed the story. The story was a new twist for me. Raven and her aunt were engaging. However, the male narrator was lacking, in my opinion. I often felt like he was just reading at struggling to grasp the characters. I realize he had five main characters to present, but they all sounded like the same personality. Carter was the only one that sounded different in presentation.

The female voice was good but….

I tried to return the book once Joshua Schbart started to read. He’s terrible! If the sample included any of the voices he tried to do I wouldn’t have gotten it. I would’ve read it myself. The book is good but his reading grated on my nerves. You unfortunately are treated to him reading one chapter in book one twice ugh! Not worth the points to listen too. Save the point and read it yourself it’s worth the read if you like this genre!

Good Story, Crap Narrator

I can not stand the male narrator. The female narrator is better at narrating the male voices than the actual male. As Carter & Draco, his voice actually makes me cringe. Other than that, I liked the story.

Great Story, Bad Male Narrator

So over all i loved this series, it was done very well. Female Narrator knocked it out of the park. Male narrator had the emotional Range and tone of a Math book. Very Disjointed, several chapters Male narrator repeated himself or repeated lines more then a few times. No real flow or emotional connection between Male Narrator and his characters, Males Voices/Animal voices also exceptionally forced. again Female Narrator did a fantastic job distinguishing between her animal half and her human half with a lot of great humor

Female Narrator is the only reason this gets 3 stars for performance.

Horrible male narrator

I’m actually interested enough in the plot that I will seek out this book to read on my own. But I was hoping to listen to it. The female narrator is fine but the male narrator is so bad that I literally had to stop and return the books. I’ve never done that. I honestly can’t tell if his narration is bad or simply the editing of his parts. It’s as though everything is one long sentence and there is no punctuation.

Good story, horrid male narrator

The story is good. The female narrator is fine. The male narrator, however, is really bad. I don't know if it's his editing skills that needs worked on or if the narrator is using AI. That's what it sounds like. He sounds like a bad GPS AI voice. I had to zone out on all the male's narration. I would have given the book 5 stars had it not been for him.

Suspenseful love story

I listened to this story &it was a complete story. I appreciate Rory's humor. Raven's wolf is hilarious! I appreciate the story line & how Rory brings each character together & how the reverse harem is not only about sex but a full story how each relationship brings a portion in the story. It is great to see how they all work together. I appreciate all of Rory's stories.

No stars removed for narration

Story was a little weak but listenable enough. It's the audio I want to talk about. Thank goodness for JM Webb's talent because she carried this story with a superb performance that should cast her into superstar status.

The male parts were brief, thankfully, because Joshua Schubart, despite a great voice and some delicious vocal impressions, delivered a performance so robotic that it should be played in narrator school in the "how not to" section. He would have wrecked this book if had not been for the female. For this reason, narration gets the full five stars but it cost the "overall" rating a solid downgrade.
