TV in a Book
“Whom the Son Sets Free” is the 13th installment in the renowned "My Son's Wife" 'TV in a book' series penned by national bestselling author Shelia E. Bell.
Hezekiah McCoy's yearning for freedom surges when turmoil unfolds within and outside prison. But freedom becomes more like a cage of despair when Trevor Price's betrayal unravels a web of deceit. Also, Xavier is missing, Khalil still despises Hezekiah, and Fancy wants nothing to do with her ex—at least that’s what her mouth says. Sometimes, the heart overrules.Attorney Christian Black's career in Memphis is flourishing. Still, his insecurities grow as he grapples with the harsh truth of his wife's pregnancy, the return of someone from his past, and a revelation that, if brought to light, could destroy the very foundation of their seemingly perfect life.
The McCoys and Grahams must collectively confront the heartbreaking loss of a beloved family member. As they navigate the depths of grief and loss, their faith and resilience are put to the ultimate test. Will they emerge from the shadows stronger than ever, or will the relentless storms of life prove insurmountable for this already troubled family?
In this addictive family saga, the themes of freedom, love, and tragedy collide, putting the family's faith, capacity to forgive, and need for God's redemption to the test.
*Suggested short story reading before reading this installment (but not required): “Christian Black, Esq., “If Your Price Is Right, and “Love Shoulda Brought You Home.”

Story
Obituary writer Nadine Barbault doesn’t mind being called “Lady Death”. It suits the ice queen persona she’s cultivated to survive the fast-paced Toronto Herald. So when Nadine learns that famous (and reclusive) author Dot Voline has died, she doesn’t hesitate to run the obituary…only to discover that Dot is very much alive. Nadine’s screw-up has brought Wesley Chen of the rival Spear no end of joy—she’s been a thorn in his extremely ambitious side for years. But the renewed interest in Dot also surfaced chatter about a mysterious past scandal.

Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. But I’ve never been meek and compliant.

Excellent Story
Oh my goodness this book as with every other book in this series is absolutely amazing. The virtual reader didn’t bother me at all because the story was so good.
As is her custom the author leaves cliff hangers that have us begging for the next book. I have followed this series from the beginning and not once have I been disappointed.
Shelia Bell writes characters that keep you hooked with relatable storylines. Not only do I recommend this book, I recommend this entire series. There’s no way the Grahams, McCoys, and now the Blacks are letting us off this easy.
