White noise, that uniform mix of constantly changing multiple frequencies, is often used to mask disrupting sounds around us and calm our brains. It has been used in many ways, some of which are to soothe, reduce anxiety, help with memory, focus, and creativity.
Recent studies comparing dogs' and people's brains have discovered that:
- Similar to humans, dogs have specialized areas in their brains that interpret vocal sounds and emotions in them, as well as interpret other sounds in their environment.
- Dogs appear to dream similarly to people, too.
It is not surprising then that, like people, dogs can benefit from listening to white noise to help them relax, calm their anxiety, be less nervous, and sleep better. In this audiobook, I have included three types of white noise and two types of nature sounds that dogs (and pet parents, too!) can listen to and realize the benefits of a soothing, uniform sound.

Good combo of noises and nature sounds
There are choices of three types of white noise and two nature sounds: rain and birds, and also ocean rain. I prefer the rain and birds nature track to the ocean rain, but my dogs and I listened to all of the noise and sounds tracks and enjoy them all.

Soothing and relaxing!
This book is bliss to my ears! I was able to melt back into my couch and just relax away the tensions of the day, while my little chihuahua sat calmly in her bed for hours. She is pretty high energy most of the time and barks at little sounds she hears. The white noise is so effective in drowning out the sounds and completely soothing her. I can’t wait to make this a regular routine in the evenings!

Great way to use white noise - with puppies too :)
Looking at the book's cover, this is exactly what you would expect while listening to White Noise. My dog is at my feet and myself resting and focusing. Not only do I love this book for its state of calm but I enjoy the length. With puppies in mind, you could use this book to help your pet while away. Use a smart device with an audible connection and voila - a steady sound to help.
