sweet story

I love the story. love the author. but I absolutely have to rave about the performance. Tor is great as usual, but I don't think I've heard an audiobook with Diontae Black before and he was amazing. I felt so much actual personality in everything he spoke.

Not only is this story well written, but the narration brought it to life in a way that will definitely put it on my ‘to listen again’ list.

OMG. WHAT A LOVE STORY.

First off this book is a slow burn. I almost gave up but since I like Emily’s writing I didn’t. Thank goodness. It was so worth it.
This story packs a lot of emotional baggage. A lot of angst. A lot of anger. A lot of sadness. Two broken individuals who meet in the middle of no where but unknowing that they are exactly where they need to be and to be together.
The healing and love that ensures is a beautiful story. A story worth giving the time to read or listen to.
Emily had written another beautiful story and Tor narrated perfectly.
It’s too bad there isn’t a second book. Silas and Bear are beautiful souls and I just need more of them.

A perfect introduction to the omegaverse

I grabbed this because Emily Rath is an auto buy author for me at this point and I didn’t have this book. I didn’t realize it was an Omegaverse novel. I didn’t know much about what that meant and this was a perfect introduction to the OV. The story was so good, the characters are SO Emily Rath. The narration was off the charts. I’ve listened to it twice already and I think a third is on the horizon.

I’m still listening to this and I can’t stop it’s awesome. This author ticked all the boxes and then some. Narrators did a great job.

the narration was ah-may-zing!

Diontae, especially, was absolutely stellar. it was a good story, if a bit annoying at times but, I loved it. the narration definitely made the story better and feel more real

good story and overall good narration

I liked this story. I really enjoy Tor Thom's deep voice and Diontae Black had so much emotion in his voice for the characters. The reason why I did not give the narrators 5 stars is because off and on throughout the book you can hear background noises and sounds like background conversations when Diontae is narrating.

Interesting take on the Omegaverse trope

This was a sad story with a happy ending and an interesting take on the mpreg / Omegaverse trope. With out spoiling anything I will say there was a part near the end that I really didn't like but it wasn't enough to ruin the book for me. I was scared going in about a 12+ hour MM Omegaverse but once it was over I felt like it was the right length to wrap up the story in a satisfying way. I don't remember if there were trigger warnings, so for give this next part if there were and I forgot. The book talks about abuse quite a lot, physical, mental, and sexual abuse readers / listeners should be aware.

Such a beautiful story!

I really loved this story! Bear is absolutely amazing in how he loved and showed up for Silas.

The voice actor for Silas did such a great job but I didn’t care much for Bear’s actor. It sounded flat most times.
