The first time Lamont Day ever felt love was hen he saw her.

Katori Nichols has loved him since before either of them understood what love truly was.

With a love so perfect and all consuming, Lamont and Katori never expected things to fall apart, however they learned the harsh lesson that sometimes love is not enough.

Five years later, fate provides a second time for them to get it right. Their lives have progressed but their hearts have been in limbo, but buried secrets may threaten to ruin their last chance at getting it right.

This time around, Lamont and Katori will have to work hard to prove that when it is them, not even secrets can get in the way of the love they both deserve.

Maybe it was my jealous streek but...

I was not feeling his girlfriend or the grace she got with the goodbye peck lol I loved the book... both characters pissed me off and both characters had my empathy, only how a good story can make me. Narrators weren't perfect but they were good and brought life to the story!

Really enjoyed the narrators and the story. still think Lamont should have taken some responsibility for his part. like how many time you can tell someone you don't want kids. But get mad when they don't tell you. great story.

Ok hear me out!

I really liked this book but if I'm being honest, I'm more on Katori side with how she handled this. Lamont was dead wrong continuing to mess with her after she told him what she wanted. I agree she should have told him, but he caused it on himself with all that trauma and no therapy.

i’m a sucker for a rekindled love and a major surprise like that! this story was so cute and even funny lmaoo. lamont is a triiiiip! but i feel katori. if you say so many times you don’t want a kid, really if you say it once, i’m outta there! i get both of their viewpoints on that but i’m so happy they worked it all out! that ending was fireee‼️ great writinggg

I loved it!!

I loved this story and it can understand Katori not wanting to tell him, he was so adamant about what he didn't want so i can understand her fears. I also understand Lamont a little but with him being so bent on what he didn't want he should have understood her. This was a good listen and my first time listening to these narrators they were good!!

This was my first listen of the work by Charity Shane. As far as the narration, I've heard Christy before, and she did an awesome job. This was my first time hearing Redd Vines, and he was OK. I didn't like his voice for the character I envisioned, but that was me. The storyline was decent. I somewhat understand Katori's reasoning for keeping that important information from Day. However, that is something he had a right to know. Nevertheless, the love between them was strong for them to reunite and work out their differences. I can understand, too, the reason why he felt he would resemble his parents. However, he quickly realized that he had the power to change how he would be.

The love flooded throughput the book

I loved this story. Katori and Day were everything. The narrators were just okay but the story thankfully overshadowed them. I love this couple and the love that they have.

I'll be reading this author again. This was a great story with all the feels. The woman narrator should have done the entire book... my opinion she did the male part better then the male narrator, he seemed angry throughout the entire book.
