This was HEAVY. Alcohol/Addiction trigger warning

I love his books. And this one was just as well written and read as the others. There is a trigger warning at the beginning of the book, but I don't know that it was quite strong enough. It doesn't address the strength of the emotional portrayal of the results of addiction. This book is excellent, don't get me wrong. But it is emotionally HEAVY in a way his other books haven't been. Just an fyi.

Emotionally Charged

I love the overall storyline. This reminds me so much about the Asian belief regarding the red string of fate. I love all the relationship details, I love the substance, I just love this audiobook that I had to finish it in one day! 👏👏👏

ALL the emotion!

This had to be one of the most touching love stories ever told. Life is messy. Filled with ups and downs and celebration and tragedy. And Daryl Banner captured it all beautifully. And Chris Chambers did an amazing job bringing this beautiful story to life. Can't wait to read more from this author and listen to more narration by this narrator.

I loved this book! the storyline was incredible! It made me think of such wonderful memories I had so long ago! I honestly believe this is Darryl Banner at his best! The narrator did an awesome job! Kudos to Darryl for writing this book!

Beautiful love story

This (audio)book has been a pleasure to listen to, entertained by the talented writings of Daryl Banner. It has been a while since I listened to a complete novel that captured my attention, made me sit down and listen. Powerful MCs and a strong storyline surrounding them. I recommend this book wholeheartedly.

Outstanding, touching story of two boys and the rain as a background

I loved this book. I so enjoyed following the two main characters from age 5 to 80. Maybe the older I get the more I appreciate reading older characters love stories? But I think this story will appeal to any age as it emotionally covers every age. I will admit that I chose this audio book because Chris Chambers was the narrator. And he is brilliant in this narration once more. Emotional, tender, and passionate at covering every phases of Beau and Caleb’s lives.
Daryl Banner writes very powerful evocative stories and Chris Chambers bring them to life beautifully. Thank you both

A true book that tugs at your heart.

This book reminds me of the saying "if you love someone set them free if they come back it was meant to be" . It really touched my heart. It also shows sometimes you have to ignore the negative people and follow your heart when it comes to love.

We all wish to have that love one to grow old
with and this book allows you to take that journey with Kaleb and Bo.

It was also read by one of m y favorite readers so that was a bonus.

I officially hate Daryl Banner. This story made me laugh and cry and think too much about how lucky I am in my life and got much I miss those that I’ve lost.
