Publisher's summary

USA Today best-selling author Sheila Roberts returns with a brand-new series set on the charming Washington coast

Once happily married, Jenna Jones is about to turn 40, and this year for her birthday - lucky her - she’s getting a divorce. She’s barely able to support herself and her teenage daughter, but now her deadbeat artist ex is hitting her up for spousal support...and then spending it on his “other” woman.

Still, as her mother always says, every storm brings a rainbow. And when she gets a very unexpected gift from her Great-Aunt Edie, things seem to be taking a turn for the better. Aging aunt Edie is finding it difficult to keep up her business running The Driftwood Inn, so she invites Jenna to come live with her and run the place. It looks like Jenna’s financial problems are solved!

Or not. The town is a little more run-down than Jenna remembers, but that’s nothing compared to the ramshackle state of The Driftwood Inn. Aunt Edie is confident they can return it to its former glory, though Jenna feels like she’s jumped from the proverbial frying pan into the beach fire.

But who knows? With the help of her new friends and a couple of handsome citizens, perhaps that rainbow is on the horizon after all. Because, no matter what, life is always good at the beach.

Featuring all the warmth, romance and trademark humor of Sheila Roberts’s writing, this new series will delight longtime fans and welcome a generation of new readers.

great story! Slow start but worth it

The story started off a little slow with nothing really happening. And the attitude of the teenage girl was almost too annoying to keep listening to the story. but it really picked up and ended up being a wonderful story.

Fun, Easy Summer Read

Quirky characters, evolving plot line, fun
location - great story about courage and starting over with faith and hard work.

good story

I enjoyed the story line. The voice of the reader was pleasant but the men's voices all sounded gruff.

I enjoyed it!

It’s typical chick lit but I really liked it. Liked that it wasn’t full of unnecessary swearing. Liked Jenna’s character and her cute grandma.

Good story

I mostly enjoyed this except for the unruly teen.
The narrator is good except when voicing others, then not good and she makes a lot sd angry when they’re not.

Welcome to Moonlight Harbor

I enjoyed this book about a woman who must find her footing emotionally and financially after a divorce. I love a story about a mother who does the impossible for her child. I enjoyed that this story was set near the beach. I look forward to listening and reading more stories from this series and from this narrator.

Good reead, interesting

It is easy to visualize the inn, beach, town and even the people. The reason I gave it two."Fours" instead of all "fives" is the ending. It seems as if the author ran out of steam. Ends fairly abruptly. But the character development s good and I enjoyed the way the author slowly revealed traits and changes in response to the story line. Recipes at the end are a nice touch! Someone needs to check the oatmeal cookie recipe since the oil is never used the way it is read now. Looking forward to reading the next book and following the lives of these interesting people.

Why you don’t lie to your kids

There’s no need to be cruel but this is a great example why you don’t lie to your kids. By trying to shield her daughter, she made things worse. There will always be people who will disappoint you. Better to know who you can count on.
