Three firsts

Author, series, book all are first time for me and I am hooked. I can’t wait to jump into it the next book.

Good action and character development

I like the story. I hated the author throwing away so many characters. It seemed like 3 maybe 4 books in one. In these other books the protagonist world changes 100%. Suddenly she has neighbors then all those characters are ripped away as the protagonist is swept to a whole new place with totally different people. The relationship dynamic even changes. It didn't feel like it flowed as well. It was obvious the love interest would require a dissolution of her other relationships. It was a gripping story. Action was good. The humor was funny. I recommend this book.

Excellent!

A new-to-me author with a story that kept me engaged right from the start…what a win! So glad this is a series! Narration was fantastic!

It had me laughing and crying. sometimes at the same time.

I am starting to really like this author! I enjoy her mix of comedy, drama, and such a small amount of angst. It requires a wonderful skill to be able to do that in such an entertaining manner. Fiona Quinn has that skill in spades!

Loved it

Unique story line. Great character development that had me looking for more and hoping for a series, which there is. Great audio narration. Voices given to the characters are a great fit.

I’ve read this book twice and the audible makes it new!

Lexi Sábado is a remarkable young woman. Unschooled, she has life experiences enough for 5 people, much less a twenty year old woman. She finds herself a victim of a psychotic nut job who wants to kill her but not before terrorizing her. She ends up in the protective custody of Iniquus, a paramilitary agency, entrusted with protecting her. There her talent for puzzles and her psychic abilities help them in other cases. This audible book is amazing. Loved it start to finish!

Loved it

I read this novel when it first came out and loved it. I was nervous about the audio. I was very pleased with the narrator. She brought the book and characters to life in a wonderful way.

Awesome!

This story has great, unique characters and a story full of suspense, wit, a bit of paranormal, a bit of romance, and some action scenes. The performance is very good. The performance for some of the peripheral characters is really superb! It is an all around entertaining story and audible book.

Great story

I loved this story! It was great! You could really connect with the characters. It made you laugh and cry. 5 stars for sure!

Phenomenal read

This was an amazing read. It was very engaging and I absolutely loved Lexi! She drew me in from beginning to end and had me connected to her and what was happening from very early on. I love the way that she builds and maintains connections with people. She is very good at it and her neighborhood and her old apartment building all show her sense of community that she is definitely a part in fostering in her new neighborhood. She is in trouble as she has picked up an evil, twisted stalker that is leaving her twisted poetry and outlining that he can get to her and that he wants to kill her. I loved the paranormal aspect of this that Lexi brings to the table. She has that extra 6th sense that manifests in a couple different ways for her. It is not over the top and very believable. I enjoyed how this blended into the story. Lexi first reaches out to her cop friends and staying vigilant and settling into her new house. She recently got married and her husband immediately deployed to Afghanistan. It was a whirlwind with them knowing each other for 3 weeks. Things progress to the point where she is assigned a special team, Iniquus, with special agents to protect her and track down the stalker/killer now that he has been linked to other murders. I enjoyed watching her build the relationship with the team and earning their respect both personally and professionally. She is drawn to Striker but due to her marriage, nothing happens there but they form a deep bond and relationship through all the things happening. I thoroughly enjoyed this and was highly engaged with the characters and the world set up. Very, very well done and I can't wait for more!
The narrator did a phenomenal job with all the different personalities, accents, and characters and really bringing them to life and adding the emotion and actions to the voice to go even further and really make it real! I will absolutely check out more books by this narrator and am thrilled that it looks like she has done all the Lynx/Lexi books.
