"Lori Foster should be on everyone's auto-buy list." (Sherrilyn Kenyon, number one New York Times best-selling author)

Mysterious, unpredictable and most definitely scorching hot

While investigating a criminal network, Detective Crosby Albertson keeps crossing paths with members of the highly trained, suspiciously well-informed McKenzie family. They’re always one step ahead of him - especially their alarmingly attractive intel specialist, Madison. And Crosby needs to find out why.

Madison McKenzie is the tech and surveillance whiz of her family’s operation. A recent case introduced her to Detective Albertson. She finds herself irresistibly drawn to the sexy and mysterious cop. There’s just one problem. He’s a detective and her family’s work is secret. When Crosby starts digging for information about the McKenzies, Madison’s got to get him off the scent…while keeping him at a safe distance.

Another great book by Lori Foster

This was a wonderful book by Lori Foster. The characters are compelling, and kerp the reader's interest. Couldn't put it down.

I’m so glad to get to have an end to all the family story. I will be listening to them again and again.

Fabulous Characters & Narration

My only problem with this 3rd book in the series is that it was too short, & left me wanting more of this family and their efforts to end trafficking. I felt like Crosby & Madison, and Parrish & Silver, both had their stories come together too quickly. No love scenes between Parrish & Silver? How could you?

I truly enjoyed John Lane’s narration, though he has Reyes’ voice down the best.

Another great story from Lori Foster

As with the first two in this series, I loved this story. The characters are a wonderful mix of tough and sweet. The story line involves such an important issue of today, and it is covered well. I especially appreciate a female character that is smart and tough without being a bitch. Madison, as all of the characters are, is well rounded and likeable. My only dislike was the narrator's voice for Madison. He made it sound as though she speaks is short, choppy sentences. I just feel there is more warmth to her than that. But overall, a fantastic read.. Maybe one more in the series for Bernard?!? LOL A girl can hope.

Lori Foster Does it again

Watching Over You is the third book in the 3-book series and could be my favorite! Lori has the unique ability to add just the right amount of suspense to a romance to keep you intrigued and worried but not too much to make the reader uncomfortable! Loved this series and highly recommend

The heroine is an unrealistic contradiction

I didnt love this character in prior books, but I hoped we’d see her more holistically like her brothers, and it would all come together. The heroine is an unrealistic contradiction and difficult to like in so many ways. In some ways, she’s tactless in a way that is childlike and so work absorbed that she doesn’t realize when she’s rude or hurtful to the people that she’s dealing with, which came across in the two preceding books. Somehow, this same person (who bragged to a trafficking victim that she had no secrets because she was so good and showed the same trafficking victim her kidnapper/tormentor at the breakfast table in front of a group of people with no warning in the prior book) is a natural nurturer with a child and is so good at reading situations that she perfectly responded to Crosby’s unusual relationship with Silver immediately. In some ways this felt like a Hallmark meets Lifetimes movie. Unlikeable, brash, wealthy, powerful, woman falls in love with an everyday man and his lower income, but proud and respectable family and becomes a mama bear that is out to protect them all when danger sets its sights on her new family. It wasn’t an awful book, but the personality shift was so significant and sharp that it seemed unreasonable. I’m glad to know how the trilogy ended, but it definitely wasn’t the strongest storyline in the trilogy.

Did Lori Foster really write this?

The heroine was so badly written that it made the hero’s interest completely unbelievable. As written the child should have been 8 or 9 not 4!

I love LF’s books but can’t recommend this one
