I’m a sucker secret society books mostly because I love all the lore and rituals that go along with them and this did not disappoint on that front! I really wish there was a family tree tho because keeping track of who is who, wasn’t always easy 😂

Love the next generation of EKC

Really enjoyed EKC'S kids just as much as I enjoyed their parents stories. And if you enjoy this authors stories you know that there are always twists and turns. Love it when you don't see it coming. Can't wait for the next book. As for the performance in the audio it was good. Looking forward to hear more stories performed by both narrators

Overall a fabulous continuation

Loved getting more of the EKC world. I liked that we’re seeing generational evolution in the group. I’m all in for the overarching plot. The romance was just ok but super angsty. This new gen is coming off kinda weak and spoiled in comparison to their parents IMO.

I feel like I did myself a disservice by starting with this book and not the first ones. This is only due to the fact that there is so much happening and a lot of stuff goes unanswered for me. I got questions about the bigger picture 😂

War and Halo are the most toxic book couple and I ate it up! I’m huge on the trope enemies to lovers and this was that relationship minus the enemies part haha. Once they come together though, holy shit it was intoxicating. Wars name fits him perfectly. Basically being Bishops henchman he stops at nothing to take care of biznas if you feel me.

Super stoked to read Priest’s story now✌🏼

War and Halen (age 20) are a force to be reckoned with. Both royalty due to their lineage. I felt like there were too many superficial look at how bad we are comments but some scenes were definitely well written and make you FEEL.
They are toxic, stubborn and test each other’s boundaries.

I love AJ stories but her writing always feels messy. Like it’s one draft away from being polished and finished. I don’t mind a ‘violently bonded couple’ but I get frustrated when the whole book is a push and pull so we never really get to see them have any HEA moments.
A lot of twists and nice lead into Priest’s book.

A 2nd gen book is such a gift to fans so I do appreciate this even exists. Seeing our OG couples as parents was great! I do wish we had more scenes with War and Nate, since everyone speaks about how similar they are. I LOVE Bishop as a parent/uncle, everything 🙌🏽

The narration was great, but I don’t recommend if you haven’t read the book. There are so many twists and the segues with the flashbacks are confusing.
