Interesting

This was my first book by this author, I’ll be looking at his others. Seemed balanced and that’s hard to say these days.

Well Narrated, Moderately Informative

This is a well narrated, seemingly genuine work of non fiction. There is a lot of “inside baseball”, but most of the larger story is in the public domain. Mister Woodward seems to be a great reporter. He clearly has his opinions which he has a right to. He has also studied the subject in depth. But, given that, the work is somewhat predictable. I am glad that I read it but will not reread without a specific reason.

Deep truths

Woodman is a consummate reporter. He writes so we are “in the room…” so great to have access to this book.

Bob is a master at what he does.

Bob is patient, piecing together a story over decades. Brilliant. He has a way of drawing the story out of a person in spite of the person sitting there saying I know I'm going to regret saying this but...lol.

Woodward always delivers

In every book, Bob Woodward provides incredible context to world events. His journalistic integrity is unmatched. I will always get his books.

Outstanding reporting, very current information!

Petkoff is a master at narrating / reading. This is Woodward’s best book since All The President’s Men.

Investigative integrity

I really time analysis of a modern presidency. The good, the bad, and the unacknowledged.

An inside view of Biden's term as POTUS.

Biden's interest in hearing opinions from all sides, then making decisions based on what he deemed best for the country.

The behind the scenes efforts of Biden and his defense team to stop and/or avoid conflict in the world. Diplomacy never looked so good.

Best book for 2024 so far, planning to read more from Bob works and more into investigation books

Not What I Expected

I listened to this book with interest. In the end, I came away with the sense it was more a diatribe about Trump rushed out to hit the market before the election. Disappointed because I grew up thinking of Bob Woodward as reporting on both sides of an issue. His commentary in this book was one-sided.
